Divya's POV

"Who are you texting?" I asked Kaden as she seemed incredibly immersed on her phone. Even for her.

"The girl I went on a date with the other night." She responded not looking up from her phone.

"Right, I forgot to ask how that went." I opened the fridge and took out a celsius. "Clearly it went well if you are texting her."

Kaden shrugged and finally looked at me from her spot on the couch. "You were too busy fucking Elizabeth in your room when I got home that night. Also yes, she's cool."

I hummed and went to sit by her side on the couch—I tried to peak at her phone but Kaden pushed my face away. "What's her name?"

"Callie and stop that." Kaden complained and pushed me away again.

"I want to see her." I tried to grab the phone from her this time, but Kaden swatted my hand.

"Fine, God. Just calm down." Kaden rearranged herself on the couch and I watched as she scrolled through her phone.

When she was taking to long I couldn't help but complain again. "Oh come on how many photos can she have? Just pick one already."

Kaden rolled her eyes and showed me her phone and surprised me when she showed me a blonde with curly hair. She was cute, but I was still confused. "Since when do you like blondes?"

"What do you mean? I like blondes, they are not my ideal type but I've dated blondes."

I crossed my arms. "Yeah? Like who?"

"Like... you know Wes and Dennis." Kaden even struggled with the names.

"Wes had a bleached buzzcut and Dennis had caramel highlights." I said trying not to laugh at her reaction—she clearly didn't remember enough to correct me, even though I wasn't in the wrong.

"Whatever, there's always a first time. Besides she's cute and talkative. You should be happy for me." Kaden threw her phone on the couch and put her feet on the coffee table as she turned on the tv.

"I am happy for you." Maybe this girl would be what got Kaden to finally move on from Jessie and stop mopping around.

"How come you are not with Elizabeth?" She asked as opened up Netflix on the tv.

"She had a bunch of meetings to tend to today. And why do you sound surprised? I'm not with her all day."

"Well—" Kaden was cut off by the door of our apartment slamming open—scaring the shit out of both us until we saw who it was.

"Grace honestly you need to go fuck yourself." Jen complained as she entered the apartment like she lived in it with Grace following behind her.

"It wasn't even that bad, Jesus." Grace closed the door before following Jen to the other couch.

"Oh yeah hello to you too, of course come in and make yourself at home. I don't mind." Kaden said sarcastically as she kept looking for something to watch.

I chuckled and watched as Jen rolled her eyes at her sarcasm. "Why are you two fighting now?" I asked.

"I was with Norman and this bitch just began questioning me about my 'many' exes and how I had a pattern in front of him. Now he won't answer my texts!" Jen complained as she glared at Grace, who looked pretty unbothered by our friend's attitude.

"You do have a pattern though. He's like fifty something." Grace directed the last part at me and I wish I could deny her statement but it was true. However that didn't mean what Grace did was okay.
