A/N: Sorry for the wait. I've been out of town for a while with no internet and so I couldn't upload, but now I'm back and I'll be upload more as I can. :D

"Sorry to break up this family talk, but we've got to get back to school Brookly." Lizabeth said as she came in with Elena. I looked up at the clock and knew she was right lunch was about to start. I smiled sadly and walked over to my mother to give her and my little girl, who was now in her arms, a hug.

I sat quietly the whole ride to the school and remained quiet as we signed back in. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I quietly picked it up, only it wasn't my mom. It was Ty.

~Where are you? Are you okay? I'm going to kill Matthew!

It read which made me smile a little. Tyler was honestly going to make good on his threat if I didn't stop it. "Lizabeth we need to get to the lunch room before the bell rings."

"Why?" Then she looked at her phone. "Oh Tyler. Yeah we better get there." And so that’s where we were when Tyler came running down the hallway after the bell rang.

"Brooky! Are you okay? You never replied and a friend said you weren't even in class!" He arms wrapped around me, holding me to him.

"That's cause I wasn't there." I replied ignoring his first question. He pulled away and searched my eyes before sighing.

"Where were you?"

"Home. Went to see my favorite family member."

"And here I thought I was your favorite." Cassy joked before she pulled me from Tyler. "My cousin." She mumbled possessively, and then hugged me. "I'd tell you that I don't like Matthew and never really have, but I'm not going to." That made me laugh.

"LEE-LEE!!" I heard a voice yell and instantly turned towards it with a groan. There was Matthew and three other boys walking our way. When he came to a stop in front of me Tyler blocked his path.

"Back off before I kick your ass." He said in a low warning tone.

"Tyler come on be nice to him." I said as I grabbed his arm.

"No Brooklynn this kid deserves it."

"Tyler Carmicheal!" I warned and he sighed. I pulled back on his arm and he stepped back willingly. I sighed in relief. "Now what do you want Matthew?"

"This is Nathan, David and Keenan. Happy now?" He said as he pointed out his friends.

"What do you mean 'happy now'?"

"I introduced you to my friends. Now will you take me back?" He tried, but I just gave him an 'are you serious' look.

Tyler started to step forwards, but I stuck my arm out, holding him back. "Don't you dare." I told him and turned back to see Matt and his friends smirking. "Keep smirking and your ass's are going to be beat. Understand?" I threatened, but Matt's friends only laughed. Matt however stood there giving me the same look I had just been giving him. "No Matt I'm not taking you back." I said and turned around grabbing Cassy and Lizabeth's arms in mine. "Have fun Ty, just leave Matt alone and don't kill them." And with that Lizabeth, Cassy, Alec and I walked away.

Tyler joined us shortly after that with a smile on his face. "So how’s the favorite family member doing?"

"She's great. Since you weren't there mom let me hold her." I told Tyler and watched his face drop. "But don't worry I was sitting down with her on my lap and I never picked her up."
