Dedicated to DistantMemories, for the whole idea behind this chapter(: I wub you!!! :D
.:Recap:.
I heard Spencer call out to Danny to 'grab Eddie and get the fuck out of here', but it was distant, and I knew I was going to pass out soon. I moaned and held him tighter, and he murmured soothing things in my ear. I shivered at his voice, relaxing as the music got quieter and quieter.
Danny and Spencer were talking about what happened on the way home but I wasn't really listening. Eddie was singing stupid songs to which I would have giggled at but was too tired, and Spencer's arms were so warm and comfortable, and his low voice was like a lullaby sending me to sleep...
.:Story Start:.
When I awoke the next morning, it was in my bed, with Spencer's strong, delicious scent filling my nostrils. I opened my eyes to see I was clutching his hoodie, my face buried right up against it. I frowned, wondering why I was holding Spencer's hoodie. I hadn't drunk so much I had pulled it off him...had I?
I pulled myself so I was sitting upright, but instantly regretted it. My head throbbed as loud as the music last night, and I regretted drinking however many bottles of beer I had had. I stood up, swaying slightly, my hands still clutching the black hoodie. I brought it to my face and smelled it, smiling slightly. God he smelled good.
A moment later I realised I was wearing the spaghetti strap I had been wearing last night, but someone had removed my shorts. Who? I wondered, hoping it had been Danny.
Stumbling to the door, I had little trust in my shaking legs. My head absolutely killed; I needed some medicine. I half fell down the stairs on the way to the kitchen, probably waking the rest of the household up. However, when I reached the kitchen, I was surprised to see I was the last one up.
Eddie looked even worse than me, his head on the table, a mug of coffee beside him. Danny was munching on some toast, obviously not hung over. Mr Richmond was inspecting a large purple bruise on Spencer's jaw - wait, bruise? I frowned, slumping into a seat, mumbling a good morning. Danny looked at me, dropped his toast and instantly came to my side of the table.
"Jess, are you OK?" he asked anxiously.
"Other than a splitting headache, yeah, fine, why?" I asked, stealing some of Eddie's coffee. He didn't have the energy to complain.
"I suppose you don't remember," he said with a sigh. I shook my head, regretting it as it made the world spin. More than it was already. Danny said he'd make me some coffee, get me some aspirin, and then explain when I was better. I was just dead worried about Spencer; what had happened last night?
I downed my coffee quickly and had my aspirin, but it took a little while to take effect. Spencer sat next to me once his father was done, and I saw his fingers were bandaged, too. Something seemed to click into place as I remembered at the wedding when he had punched my cousin. Had he gotten into a fight?
Soon, I was fully recovered and begging for details. What had happened? Had Spencer been worse off? Spencer was the one who recounted the events. It turned out a Spanish guy had dragged me off to the illegal section of the party, where all the drugs were, and he had been trying to convince me to take some when Spencer had intervened. I could tell he was vehement, furious with the guy, more so than seemed rational.
I went back upstairs and showered and dressed, feeling even better, and hoped Spencer wouldn't noticed if I stole his hoodie. I went on the computer and talked to Nina and Lucy for a while, telling them what had happened, and tried to go on Skype and frowned as I saw Zack wasn't there. What was wrong with him? I needed to tell him before I exploded.
