.:Recap:.

So tomorrow I would meet my enemies again. What fun.

.:Story Start:.

The next morning I was awakened, bright and early (for me), by my mother shaking my shoulder gently.

"Jess," she murmured. "Time to get up, school starts tomorrow,"

I groaned and was tempted to shove my pillow over my head and go back to sleep, but my mum was adamant. She tugged my arm and I sighed, sitting up with a yawn as I rubbed my eyes.

"Morning," I mumbled sleepily as she smiled at me. She returned the greeting then left the room as I stumbled out of bed, wishing I didn't have to go to school. Stupid school and its stupid drama. I didn't even know why Jamie had moved to our school; it had been completely random, just after the Christmas holidays. But whatever reasons she had, she was here to stay, and possibly try to wreck mine and Spencer's relationship.

I gritted my teeth; I refused to let her get to me.

I entered the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face to try and wake myself up a bit. Amy was as usual eating breakfast as I descended the stairs; she would be going to school tomorrow, too. Danny, the lucky sod, didn't go back until the beginning of October. It was now the 31st of August.

Yawning again, I got my own breakfast and sat beside my sister. We ate in silence; neither of us were very talkative in the mornings. When I finished, Amy said I could use the shower first so I thanked her and returned upstairs to shower. It was refreshing and I felt more awake afterwards, but the threat of school was still looming. I really, really didn't want to go back and face Jamie but I knew I had to.

I wondered what I would say to her. Should I mention Amelia at all? Have a go at her for ruining Spencer's life? But then, she was her best friend. She probably felt guilty about it afterwards. Besides, what was done, was done. I didn't feel I should bring up something that would probably hurt her.

But then, Spencer hadn't shouted at her or confronted her. He just ignored her. She had thought she had a chance with him again, and he had foolishly accepted. She needed to see that what she had done was serious, and Spencer couldn't have her back. She indirectly killed his sister. That was unacceptable.

So I would at least mention it when the time came. I wouldn't say it spontaneously; I would make sure there was an actual reason to. But she needed putting in her place, and Spencer didn't seem prepared to do that, so I would.

Once I was dressed and ready, it was about ten. My train left at eleven, so I sighed again, wondering what I was going to do for about half an hour. I grabbed my case and went downstairs after triple checking that I had everything.

Finally I decided to just watch TV for a while, deciding on a rerun of family guy. I watched it alone as Amy was showering, Danny was sleeping and my parents were having breakfast. After half an hour off laughing until my stomach hurt, dad told me to get my shoes and coat on.

I ran upstairs and opened Amy's door, where she was brushing her hair.

"See you at half term," I said with a smile. She dropped her brush and ran to give me a hug before waving enthusiastically as I left her room and entered my brothers'. It was messy but I soon found my way to his bed and punched his shoulder. He grumbled profanities at me and I just kissed his forehead.

"See ya, sucker," I said with a grin. He pulled me into a hug, still half asleep, before kissing the top of my head, punching my arm and wishing me luck. I swore at him on my way out and gave my mum a big hug before slipping on my converse and yelling goodbye to the house.
