For Liam's birthday, we decided to rent out a bouncy house.
It has a platform in the middle where two people can joust.
It looks like a blast.
Jess said she didn't want to play because she didn't want to get whacked in the face.
I agreed with her.
"Round one! Nina and Louis!" Perrie announced.
They looked at each other and glared, determined to knock the other off.
"Okay, the winner moves onto the future round."
I held Brooklyn in my lap, kissing her head.
"Cheer for Mommy." I cooed.
She clapped her hands and let out small squeals.
"Wait, let me get up here and then someone has to hand me the stick." Nina said.
Harry grabbed it, ready to hand it to Nina.
Louis climbed on with a stick in his hand, and then Nina got on, trying to balance on the bouncy material.
When she was handed her stick, she held it firmly and gave him a glare.
"Come on, Tomlinson." She said.
"Hey, you used to be one!"
She smiled and then someone counted off.
"3,2,1....stand!"
They both stood up and the sticks clashed.
"Come on, Nina!" I shouted, covering Brooklyn's ears so I didn't hurt her.
She gave Louis a hard shove and he tumbled off, losing his balance.
"WOHOOO!" Nina cheered.
She then screamed out when Louis his the platform, causing her to fall onto him.
"I hate you." She laughed, getting off to the side.
Nina came over to me and kissed me, then Brooklyn.
"Nice job, Mommy." I said, smiling at her.
She smirked and sat down next to us.
"Okay! Round two! Harry and Jenna!"
"What?! How is that fair?! He's a guy!" Jenna pointed out.
"C'mon, babe! I'll take it easy on ya!" Harry joked, already climbing onto the platform.
Jenna groaned and grabbed the jousting stick anyways, climbing on too.
"3,2,1....stand!"
Harry whacked her leg with the softer side of the stick, causing her to scream and fall off.
"Did you even try?!" I laughed.
She lasted a max of 2 seconds.
She threw her stick down and stomped over to Liam where he kissed her cheek, causing her to smile.
"Well, alright." Jess said. "Third round, Zayn and Perrie!"
This ought to cause a real battle.
They both climbed up and Zayn completely fell off, unable to stay balanced.
We all laughed and he climbed back up, staying on this time.
Jess counted off again and they started to joust.
Zayn's leg faltered again and when Perrie gave him a shove, he fell off.
"Yeah! You can't beat a girl, Malik!" She cheered.
Brooklyn let out a giggle, looking back at me.
I smiled, then sent a silly face her way.
"Fourth round! The birthday boy and Niall!"
I'm gonna beat Liam.
I have to.
I handed Brooklyn over to Nina, kissing both of their cheeks before I entered the bouncy house.
"Come on, baby!" Nina shouted.
I gave her a thumbs up and got onto the platform with Liam.
"Just because it's your birthday, doesn't mean I'm gonna let you win." I said.
"I don't need it to be my birthday to win." He fired back, everyone shouting at his comeback.
"Alright, Payno. Let's go."
Once we were told to, we stood up and hit each other, maintaining our balance.
It lasted a good minute until I gave him one hard smack, leaving him to fall off.
"Yeah, buddy!"
I got high five's, and then held Brooklyn, Nina's and Harry's names being called.
After two more rounds, Nina has beaten Harry, and I had beaten Perrie, and that meant Nina and I had to face each other.
"Here I've got her." Louis said, taking Brooklyn into his arms.
Nina and I got in and climbed on.
She had to grip onto me because she almost lost her balance.
Then, Jess called out for us to stand, and we did.
I hit Nina's leg, causing her to fall down, but not off the platform.
"Ow, ow, wait." Nina whimpered, holding onto her ankle.
I set into gentle mode and got down next to her, placing my hand on hers.
"Are you okay? Does it hurt?" I asked.
"I don't know. You tell me." She said, looking up and smirking.
Suddenly, before I had time to react, she pushed me off the platform, causing me to lose.
Everyone shouted out, Nina smiling wide.
I hit the bouncy material, Nina tumbling onto me, her hair covering her face.
"Let's get that hair out of that beautiful face." I whispered, combing it to the side.
She leaned down and kissed me softly, before deepening it.
I moved my hands to her bum, squeezing lightly.
"Alright, alright! No sex in the bouncy house!" Louis said, making us pull apart.
We got out and I went to go take Brooklyn back, but Louis shook his head.
"I want to hold her." He said.
I nodded.

The fire crackled as the night got darker, and we had no plans on going in soon.
We were all sat on blankets, dressed in hoodies.
It's times like this that make me love these guys.
"Who'd ever think we'd get this far? Our lives have been amazing and we've barely even scratched the surface of it." I said.
I've got the perfect family.
It's proven with Nina in my lap, and Brooklyn in hers.
And then everyone around me.
"It's crazy, mate. I couldn't have asked for a better family." Harry said.
"And I just want to thank you guys for my birthday party. I had a really fun time." Liam said.
I love these guys so much.
"How is this all going so quickly?" Zayn said.
"We closed our eyes just for a moment."
Brooklyn got on her hands and knees and crawled over to Harry.
He scooped her up in his arms and kissed her cheek.
"Hi, baby girl."
She squealed and we all watched in awe of how precious she is.
"That'll be our lives soon." I heard Louis whisper to Jess.
My eyes went wide and I looked around to see if anyone else heard him, but they didn't.
"Um, Louis? What did you just say?" I asked.
Everyone else looked confused, but Jess and Louis went red.
It can't be true.
They shared a couple looks until they both nodded.
"Well, um, I would have loved to have gone in the bouncy house with you guys, but I couldn't. I would've hurt the bun in the oven." Jess said, a smile pulling at her lips.
"So you mean..." Nina started.
"I'm pregnant." Jess finished.
I knew it!
Everyone started to cheer and congratulate them.
"How far along are you?" Jenna asked.
"About two months. We just found out not too long ago."
"You knocked her up before you got married, mate!" Liam yelled out.
Louis threw a marshmallow at him, but Liam caught it and ate it with a smirk on his face.
"Aw, I'm so happy for you guys!" Nina said.
Well, now Brooklyn can have a little buddy soon.
Pretty soon I'm sure she'll get bored without someone her size.
Maybe I can bring that up as an excuse to Nina...
After a little while, Brooklyn had fallen asleep on Harry, and he kissed her cheek, rubbing her back gently.
He literally loves her.
They clicked instantly, and they have the same birthday.
I can tell that they'll always be super close.
Brooklyn always clings to him.
"You guys go so well together." Nina commented, thinking the same as me.
Harry's smile widened and he kissed her forehead again.
"She's so perfect. Like my little buddy." He said quietly, not wanting to wake her.
We all laughed at a low tone, keeping our eyes on them.
Apparently we were too loud though because Brooklyn woke up crying.
I went to go reach out to her to try and get her back to sleep, but Harry had other ideas.
"Shh, baby. You're okay. Uncle Harry's here. You're safe." He whispered, making sure she could see him.
She whined a little more until it ended with Harry's soft talking.
"Sweet dreams." He finished.
Oh my gosh.
He's so good with her!
"Well, at least we know you can make her fall asleep." Zayn said.
"He's the baby whisperer." Liam joked.
I looked at the watch on my wrist, deciding to wrap it up for the night.
"It's getting a little late for the Horan's. We should head back home." I said.
Nina and I said our goodbyes and Harry followed us to the car, carrying Brooklyn.
I opened the door and he carefully placed her in her seat, buckling her up securely.
"Thanks, mate. See ya tomorrow." I said.
He nodded and went back to the group.
"We've done it, you know. We've overcome our obstacles and we've succeeded in life." I said once we started driving.
I saw Nina smile out of the corner of my eye, her hand reaching for mine.
"I realize that now that you've said it. And that is pretty amazing." She said.
I've got the perfect family so far, and it's only expanding.
I have the best job in the world, doing what I love.
I don't know how I got to be this lucky, but I am so grateful for it everyday.
Even the bad days because I know tomorrow is a new day.
It's absolutely perfect, and I wouldn't have asked for it any other way.
