Catnap was bored waiting, he thought something would happen by now, he's been keeping an eye on his little prisoner thinking someone would come and save him, but nobody's even thought about coming. Catnap rolls his eyes and goes to scout around the Playcare some more.
Doey was quietly making his way through the factory's underground. He was hoping to not run into any trouble down there, especially since Giblet left him to fend for the other critters, it was a full time job. Hoppy was restless, Bobby wasn't back yet with Crafty and Bubba, Catnap was told to be roaming somewhere above, probably in Playcare where The Smiling Critters were often at, he groans as he hears the three voices again... he listens as Jack, Kevin, and Matthew all fight again. He begins to mumble along with them "we can't do this alone, we still need more food" "I don't want to go back out there it's scary" "don't worry, we'll be okay..." "yeah right don't lie to him" "I'm not lying, I'm trying to protect him along with everyone else" "you're lying to protect him" "lying isn't good..." "you're right... I'm sorry, I just... I'm worried" Doey was pulled out of the conversation when a pipe fell onto the ground a few feet away, he steps back a bit thinking something was coming out of it, but luckily nothing came out, at least for now, but he knew he shouldn't stand around and wait for something to come out of it so he makes his way through a narrow crack in the wall and finds himself in a courtyard... at least that's what it used to be called, now it just resembles a prison wall where scientists used to watch over everyone, Doey looks around wearily looking for any stray scientists that may still be lingering but Kevin's voice broke through "nothing's here, relax already" he sounded irritated again which wasn't a surprise since he was often irritated by things, and Matthew couldn't blame him since he can tell anyone would be pretty angry if they were put in his position, lied to by false hope and promises of a better life, it was unthinkable that their lives were all cut so short like this, all merged into something that normal humans would think of as a monster, and poor Jack had to witness something horrible at a young age... the poor kid was scared and traumatized... they all were. Matthew hated that he couldn't do more, he wanted to escape the factory so many times but he knew he had a responsibility that he couldn't just leave behind everyone in Safe Haven, they depended on each of them to help. "We're a team... don't forget that" Kevin sounded sincere when he said that, and Matthew heard Jack sniffle and let out a small giggle and a tiny "yep" in agreement, Matthew chuckles and shakes his head, Doey mocking his own actions with a smile of his own.
