"Can we go out now?" Hoppy asks impatiently as they try to get up from the cot Doey had them on. Doey shakes his head and pushes the green rabbit back down "patience, you still need some rest, you've been through a lot" Doey smiles gently as Hoppy groans in boredom, sitting still patiently was a bit hard to do, especially when their friends were out there risking their lives for each other while Hoppy is just laying and getting rest... it didn't feel right, they should be out there helping their friends but Doey wasn't letting up on them getting rest. "Weren't you the one who said that you needed more help with helping and scavenging for food?" Hoppy questions as Doey just chuckles "yes that's true, but we have some right now, and we need you to rest so that way you'll be ready for anything down here, it's not the same like up there you know" Doey smirks as Hoppy sighs, it their face wasn't a permanent smile right now Hoppy would definitely be pouting. Doey pats Hoppy's shoulder "look on the bright side though, you're safe here and you're not dead..." Doey tried to make Hoppy see the good but as of now there hasn't really been a lot of good news about anything. "I shouldn't be alive now... I've died and came back and died and came back so many times..." Hoppy was tired of the endless cycle but Doey just shakes his head "don't think about that right now, you'll be able to be helpful soon, but right now you're helpful just by getting rest and gaining strength back, especially since you weren't exactly alive when you were brought down here..." Doey explains as he remembers seeing Hoppy's limp body when Bobby had came down here with them. "Do you think that they're all okay...?" Hoppy asks looking at Doey with what he could only describe as hope? "I-I'm not gonna lie to you... it seems unlikely that they're all okay but there, the Prototype was up there, and I'm pretty sure that he has friends up there... or at least a few allies" Doey sighs as Hoppy looks at the cot in front of them. "How long do I need to rest for?" Hoppy asks looking at Doey again, and Doey just mumbles something under his breath "maybe the rest of the day, just to be sure" he said this and Hoppy wanted to protest but the words that rested on their tongue died quickly when Doey took their hand "please Hoppy... I know that you want to help your friends, and help around here, but you're in no condition to do that right now, you had just woken up after dying... that's worse than waking up from a coma, and you need a lot of rest" Doey sounded like he was pleading with Hoppy to rest, and he admits that yes, that's exactly what he was doing, he just needed to make sure that everyone in Safe Haven was okay under his protection.
