Marinette awoke to the sun seeping through her curtains, she blinked awake taking in the unfamiliar surroundings before seeing Tikki asleep on the pillow next to her.

The previous day's memories rushing to her, a warmth making its way to her cheeks as she thought of her evening with Damian. Her grandmother had been very curious to where she had vanished but didn't press when she saw the smile on her granddaughter's face.

Only gave her a knowing smile, at dinner that night the two didn't interact as much as she took the chance to get to know the rest of his family. Each of the boys takes turns to ask about her life in Paris. All very interested in her life.

She gave them honest answers without having to reveal her past disputes. Turning to her side she eyes the digital alarm clock, the white numbers showing it to be only 5am.

A time Marinette had never ever awoken to unless it was akuma related. Now she was waking to the time unintentionally. The time difference is already getting to her. Laying back against the soft pillow she tried to close her eyes but she couldn't fall asleep, a first for her.

She sighed, glancing to the window at the mostly dark sky, with the sun peeking out amongst the clouds. Gotham was known to be moody and it was especially in the city. Something that she'd noticed on the way back from the airport but out in the districts of Gotham where the manor was located it was less grey and gloomy.

The view taking her back to the comfortable silence with Damian and the excitement that bubbled within her at the thoughts of today's trip. She was truly excited to see the sights of Gotham and to see how Damian was away from the screen.

Thinking of him made her think of the sketches she'd been working on. Moving as quietly as possible she rematched over the saddle bag that had been left beside her bed last. Leaning down, Marinette grabbed the black leather bound book along with her pencil case.

Sitting up she began flipping through the pages til she landed on a sweater design. It was a black turtleneck, with green vines circling the sleeves leading to the chest, with red flowers placed in between various leaves. With gold used to hide little birds nestled in the leaves.

She hoped to get the materials to create such a design today while they were out to begin as soon as she could but it could wait if she couldn't.

That led her to her next thought: what was she going to wear? This was not her first date but one in winter meant her need for layers especially with her being ladybug meant she heightened feelings to the cold.

Leaning her head back against the plush headboard she thought of everything she had packed and what better time to wear those new boots. But what to pair them with.

Taking in a deep breath she tried to not overwhelm herself so early in the morning instead going back to another sketch she'd done of the manor's exterior design. It was definitely gothic architecture with the large bay windows and pointed roofs. That and the few gargoyles she'd seen.

She tried to work on the design but she couldn't help the way her mind wandered back to a certain green eyed boy. Rethinking some of their past conversations and the coincidence that within a day of being in Gotham the two had already found each other.

Finally when the reasonable hour of seven arrived she got up and got ready for the day before she and Tikki tried to find their way back to the kitchen in the overly large home.

Making it into the kitchen she was met with the fond smile of Alfred Pennyworth. Who had already begun preparations for the day.

"Good morning Miss Marinette, how did you sleep? Did you find everything to your liking?" He asked warmly to get to the kitchen bar stools.
