The evening followed in a similar manner with light teasing and an enjoyable banter between the two as the initial nerves wore off.

Approaching the two Alfred smiled and Gina grinned watching the way Marinette laughed freely and Damian let his guard down around her as though it was second nature.

Something neither had seen their grandchild do in far too long. One the way back to the manor the two grandparents asked about the rogue attack before changing to a lighter subject that delved into embarrassing childhood stories.

Something Damian was glad his siblings were not around to hear, though he did learn more about Marinette and her clumsiness.

Reaching Wayne manor the two split ways as Damian made his way into his room only to be ambushed with the onslaught of his siblings

Damian entered his room to find Cain sitting on his desk waiting for him

"Date" she signed and he simply nodded, there was no denying it, she could read his body language.

"Your happy little brother" she signed, to which he smiled.

Marinette entered her room with a soft smile on her face as Tikki appeared by her side with an excited smile, handing the kwami a chocolate chip cookie from her desk.

"It went so well Tikki" she gushed recounting all the details.

Tikki nodded happily watching the pure joy and excitement that had vanished some time in the last few months return to her holder's face.

She let Marinette talk until she heard a buzzing sound coming from her purse pulling out her phone. She saw an incoming call from Kagami, who she'd spoken to do the day prior. She'd been nervous about today and looked to the fencer for guidance as per Tikki's advice.

Answering the call she watched as Kagami's face popped up on her screen seeing a certain blonde napping on a couch behind her.

"Marihim, you seem happy. How was it?" the blunette asked, smiling fondly as Marinette animatedly told her of the day's events.

Only showing concern at the mention of the penguin attack until the mention of penguin attack. Though the girl did spend a few minutes taking apart his outfit and how it did little to look like actual penguins and it being an insult to the creatures.

The girls spoke until late into the night, Adrien even joining in talking about how he'd been and recounting his recent trip to London to visit his cousin. No mention of the class had been made though Kagami declared she wanted to duel Damian in a fencing match.

To which Marinette laughed, both Kagami and Adrien had grown to be quite protective of her, always looking out for especially with the class and those who tried to upset her. She missed them, even if she'd only been gone a few days.

Though at the same time she hadn't been this happy in so long and Gina had suggested possibly doing a school tour of Gotham academy when they'd driven past it in the afternoon.

The idea of being away from the class wasn't a new thought but the idea of being away from the two of them made her realise how close they'd become.

Laying in bed that night Marinette thought over the events of the day, how it felt to be a civilian instead of the hero. She now understood the fear and confusion of being on the other side of the mask.

She had considered calling her transformation at that moment but Ladybug could not be seen in Gotham; she and Adrien had made a deal with the Justice league years ago.

That they stay out of Paris while Hawkmoth was active and they would do the same for other cities unless it was a dire situation. Closing her eyes she drifted to sleep with happy thoughts of her future and excitement of what would happen tomorrow.
