CHAPTER 6
“Sarah, are you ready yet?" Lucas yelled from the bottom floor. I let out a big yawn, I didn't get as much sleep last night as I would have liked but I can't say I'm surprised. "I'm coming, I'm coming, you know I don't mind walking to school, especially on the days where you guys have practice," I said jokingly Lucas and John played soccer, or should I say owned it. I had seen them practicing out in the back yard a few times when my dad and I visited and they were amazing at it. "Yeah but when the guys from soccer found out we had a new step sister they got all excited and they really want to meet you, trust me there all really nice guys!" Lucas said with a sly smirk growing on his face.
I didn’t particularly want to meet any more boys, but if they play soccer, who am I to say no? "Well we better get crackin’ if you guys want to make it on time." I said reluctantly. ---- "Don't worry John, I didn't want to keep my breakfast down" I said from the back seat of his car. We made it to the school in record time. And that’s all I can say about Johns driving, it was basically a blur. Colours whizzing past, many sharp corners and one big break at the end that made me happy I was wearing a seat belt, I'm not all that fond of the taste asphalt in my mouth. "Are you serious? That was slow! You should see me at my best" He said that as if he was proud of himself. "You know what; I think I'll be fine!" I said, pulling myself out of the car. We walked over to the school oval and I could see a big group of guys all the same age and build as John and Lucas practicing soccer, well here goes nothing. "HEY GUYS!" Lucas yelled out. "This is our new step sister!" He added, that's when they all turned around and started to rush over towards us. 'Wow' was all that I could think, this town has some real hunky guys. "Guys this is Sarah, Sarah this is the guys" "Thanks Lucas for that detailed introduction," I said with sarcasm dripping off each word. All the guys were getting excited and giving me big smiles. One by one they were introducing themselves when I noticed one guy who stood out against the group. Jason? He plays soccer with my brothers? No wonder they all sit at the same table. Jason was giving off these confusing emotions. He was happy that I was here I think, but when he noticed all the other guys trying to talk to me it was like a complete turn over (?). He was pushing his way through the sea of boys until he was a mere few inches away from me. "Hi I'm Jason, nice to meet you," he held out his hand whilst saying this. I couldn't help but smile as he held out his hand. I shook it and tiny little tingles erupted from the tips of my fingers all the way up my arm. Man what was this guy doing to me? "Nice to meet you Jason," I said still smiling. All of a sudden a whistle was being blown and the coach in her track suit top and bottoms was marching over to us. "Okay, okay, enough with the meet and greet! Get back to work or there will be extra laps for everyone." They groaned as the group and ran back. I got a lot of 'see you around, Sarah' and 'nice to meet you,' but none of them stood out like Jason's 'I’ll see you soon'. I can't believe I was turning into one of those girls that swoon over every word a guy says. I made my way over to bleacher and watched my brothers and Jason play soccer. If I thought John and Lucas were good, Jason was unbelievable! I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he was so hypnotizing the way he played it, made you not want to blink just in case you missed something. ----- As I noticed other kids were starting to arrive and that the guys from the soccer field were heading over to the locker rooms I made my way off the bleachers and walked over to them.
"You guys were amazing today." "Like most days," John said smugly. "Glad you enjoyed it, Sarah!" Lucas said as he was making his way to the locker room. "I'll let you guys get cleaned up and I'll see you at lunch!" I said to them. "Yeah okay see you then! I had almost made my way to the front entry doors when I felt a large hand wrap around my waist. I had been pulled over to the side wall of the building, where not many people could see us. "Not even gonna say goodbye?" Jason said with a slight grin on his face. "Jason, you’re going to make me smell all dirty and sweaty!" I laughed "Whoops, sorry," he pulled himself a little further away. I quickly grabbed his hand to let him know he didn't have move too much. "You were great out there today," "Thanks Hun, helps when you have your mate watching you on the side," he started kissing me on the cheek and making his way down to my neck. "You should probably get yourself cleaned up or you’re going to be late for class." I whispered to him. "I don't mind," his kisses became more passionate and I couldn't help buy lose myself in them. "Jason....Jason stop." God what am I doing? I don't really want him to stop but my brain keeps telling me YOU MET THIS GUY YESTERDAY! STOP BEING A HUSSY! He stopped and leaned his head on my shoulder. "I'm sorry, you’re just so beautiful I couldn't resist." He said, slightly breathless. "It wasn't exactly easy to say 'stop'," I smiled. I gave him a quick peck on lips. Before I could walk away he had grabbed my wrist. "You know I was thinking, we should go on a date, we can get to know each other better and it would just be the two of us" He said. "That's sounds great, tell me where and what time and I'll be there." "I'll let you know," before I could say another word he was jogging off towards the lockers. 'Okay then', I thought to myself. I quickly made my way over to my locker putting my bag away and grabbed the essentials and made my way over to my first class of the day.
