CHAPTER 20

"Shoot Jason, I should probably get going. It’s getting pretty late and I can bet you anything the boys haven't had anything classed as dinner yet!" I stayed here longer than expected. "Are you sure you have to leave? They could always just order pizza and you could stay over here longer, just the two of us…" Jason’s eyes were on fire, desperate for me to stay longer.  It was very tempting to stay him but I really wanted to have some one on one time with the guys, or is that technically one on two time? "You are a very tempting man Jason Stern, but I really should be getting home," I said whilst pushing myself off the couch to show him I wouldn't let his smooth talking persuade me. Jason pouted his lips and gave me puppy dog eyes, which by the way he was very good at, it made him look even more adorably than usual. "Well I guess I’ll just have to walk home" I said. I started to walk towards the door when I heard him jump off the couch and rush in front of me with lightning speed. "I don't think so missy."

I rolled my eyes and kissed him on the cheek as he opened the door for me. We jumped into his car and drove off, heading towards my place. As we were driving a question popped into my head that I just had to ask. "Jason where are your parents? We were at your house for hours and I don't think I heard anyone come in?" "Oh well with all this vampire stuff going on my Mum and Dad are somewhat working with higher up vampires to find all the traitors that have gone against the peace treaty. The house is usually full of life but we've put extra wolves on perimeter runs so we make sure no one gets in or out without us knowing it." I couldn't help but feel bad, this was all technically my fault. If I wasn't Jason’s mate and he had another werewolf for a mate none of this would of happened because they would of been able to protect themselves. "Sarah, what's the matter?" Jason had started to rub my knee in comfort, it helped a little. "Nothing," I lied. "Sarah, I can tell when you're lying…" "It's just, I feel bad is all.  Your family and friends are all away at the moment because of me and you’re stuck here protecting me because I can’t defend myself…"

The car was suddenly pulled over to the side of the road and was turned off in a mere few seconds. "Sarah don't you ever blame yourself for things that are out of your control. Those vampires were going to attack us anyway, I'm truly sorry that they went through you to get to us. You should of never been involved in that but please don't blame yourself because of this."

I was looking down at my hands but I knew Jason was really close, I could feel his warm breath hitting my face. I slowly looked up at him to see his eyes which were full of pain and worry, he hated seeing me like this and I hated making him feel like this. I couldn't help myself when I pushed my lips against his, I could feel all his passion towards me when our lips connected and it only made me deepen the kiss even more. Jason nibbled at my lower lip asking for an entrance, I let him in whole heartedly. I begun running my hands through his hair and his hands were becoming acquainted with my waist and thighs. Jason decided to jump on my side of the car and straddled my hips, he started to suck and nibble on my neck and I could feel a hickey forming. I let my hands fall from his hair and

enjoy the moment. It wasn't enjoyed for very long, as my hand fell onto one of the car seat recliner buttons and we both fell backwards with Jason landing right on top of me. We stared into each other’s eyes before cracking up laughing. We had become so caught up in the moment that we forgot we were in a car in the middle of suburbia, the windows were all fogged up and you could barely see out of them. "Ahh--umm—well," I couldn't form a complete sentence. I was still reeling from what just happened, I wiped my hand over the window to see exactly where we were, and my house was literally 3 houses away. "That was amazing Sarah, we should definitely do that more often!" He said with a huge grin plastered across his face, we both laughed at his comment. I put my chair back to its original sitting position and kissed Jason on the cheek. "Definitely, and thanks for today, I really had a great time!" I said, beaming.
