Why did my
CHAPTER 12
Why did my head hurt? I could feel myself starting to wake up. I felt disgusting, like I hadn't had a shower in few days. I slowly started to open my eyes, the intruding light disorientated me. I looked around at the strange surroundings. Cream coloured walls? Victorian styled furniture? A king sized bed?! This isn't my room! Where the hell am I?! I quickly pushed myself up and off the bed and ran straight towards the first door that I saw. I opened it to find a very posh looking bathroom, with embroided hand towels, and golden details on the pearl bathtub and basins. 'Okay, wrong door,' I thought to myself. To the next door! I ran quickly across the large sized bedroom and tried my hardest to open the door but it wouldn't budge. Okay, think! Think! How did I get here? What was the last thing that I can remember? I remember getting ready for school and I was just about to leave when...when...ugh, I can't remember! I took in the room again and walked over to a large window, maybe if I notice where I am I can remember how I got here. When I looked outside I could see a few very expensive looking cars, a massive lawn that had to be an acre or two big and trees surrounding the house, but nothing looked familiar. Where am I?! I didn't even notice someone had entered the room I was in until they were standing directly behind me. "Ah, you're finally awake" said a mysterious low voice. I turned around to see who ever it was that was talking. When my eyes met his face I was somewhat scared but mostly entranced. This man could not be any older than 26 with his sharp defining features, his black layered hair that was slicked forward, his body was toned but not over muscular, he would be what any girl would drool over, but yet with all his young and attractive features, his eyes told a different story, they were a grey-blue sort of colour empty of any life he may of once had. This man was hauntingly beautiful. "Who are you?" "My name is Vincent, did you like my roses?" he said, his eyes staring right through me. "Roses? You're the one who put those on my porch! Why am I here?" "Yes, it always intrigues young ladies like yourself out of their homes. It makes it much easier for us vampires, with us not being able to enter your house unless we are invited" He said, with a hint of slight disappointment on his lips. "You still didn't answer my other question, why am I here?!"I began to raise my voice. I wasn’t afraid of this jerk. "You are here my dear Sarah, because you are very important to certain next in line alpha" He said, with his eyes coaxing me for a reaction. I was dumbstruck. He said alpha so he must know about werewolves. Did this mean he was one? "I don't know what you’re talking about!" Yes, play dumb! "Oh, I think you do. We have been watching your little mate for quite some time and I've never seen him be quite this in love with any of the other girls he's been with. You’re special" "What are you?" I asked. "A very annoyed vampire" "I still don't understand what I have to do with any of this!" "You're the bait," he said, with a small smile rising from one side of his face, making the strange dimple re appear. "The bait?"
"Yes well, werewolves are very possessive creatures over their mates and now that we have taken you it will only be a matter of time before they will catch on and be begging for you back" "You realize that they will not beg, they will fight and you will lose" I said, trying to stay confident in the given situation.
In a blink of an eye I was being pinned up against the wall by my neck. "You think you can talk to me like that?!" His eyes were wide with fury. "Look buddy! I don't who you are and I don't really care but you have made a huge mistake!" I said, flailing my legs to get him off me. "You've got a lot of fight in you for just a lowly human," He snickered. I simply stared him down not saying a word. This guy is crazy, and if I had a chance I’d show him just how much fight I really have! His gaze had slowly changed. It was no longer empty, it held curiosity. He slowly released my neck and I couldn't help but cough from the rush of air returning to my lungs. "And anyway I think with over 100 years of training, us vampires will be just fine," he said with his back to me, but I didn't need to see his face know that he was smiling devilishly. "Well, I'm not going to be here for the next few hours, do you require anything before I leave?" His eyes never leaving mine. "My freedom?!" I said, using the wall and hoisting myself up onto my feet. "I'm sorry that's not on the menu tonight, if I were you I'd get settled in. I can imagine you’re going to be here for a while." And with super human speed he left the room and I could hear the door being locked. When he left it all dawned on me. Everything that had happened and I couldn't help but break down and curl up in a ball in the corner of the room.
