Chapter 21

CHAPTER 21

*Jason POV*

I had just watched Sarah go inside her house and I'm still buzzing from our heated make out session. My wolf was purring in pure bliss, he loved it when Sarah was near, even more when we could make physical contact whether it be holding hands or kissing. I still couldn't believe the gods had blessed me with such an amazing mate, she was beautiful, caring, compassionate and all mine. A grin was plastered on my face stretching from ear to ear, I was speeding home excited to tell people about our amazing day when I felt it. 

Emotions that weren't mine. 

Panic, fear and anxiety overwhelmed me, I came to a sharp stop and pulled over to the side of the road. These emotions had happened once before and I wasn't going to let the monster that caused them last time win again. I made a reckless U-turn and drove without care for the speed limit back to Sarah's house. 'Please let everything be okay' I repeated in my head. It didn't make sense though, if something was wrong Lucas and John would of mind linked me unless--no I can’t think like that, there will be a perfectly good explanation to why they couldn't link that doesn't involve death.

I made it back to Sarah's house in half the time I thought it would take, I quickly jumped out of my car and bolted up to the front door. As soon as I opened the door a foul smell hit me like a ton of bricks, I wrinkled my nose in disgust. The scent wasn't as bad as a vampires but it was definitely a close second.

I looked around the house to find it looking like a battle field; furniture knocked over and broken, holes in the walls and worse of all, my mate in the arms of that leech! Her beautiful face was now red, smudges of dirt and mascara stained her face. I can see the boys’ unconscious and beaten up pretty badly on the second landing of the house. I don't understand John and Lucas are 2 of my best wolves how could they be beaten by one vampire?!

Sarah and the leech were descending the stairs when they came to halt as they saw me.

"GET AWAY FROM MY MATE!" I growled fiercely. I was holding my wolf on the verge of shifting, my wolf would kill him instantly if I let him out. I, on the other hand wanted to make him suffer for as long as possible before I finally gave him death. No one takes my mate away from me and goes unpunished!

"Oh I don't think so, she's all mine now," He said slyly. He wrapped his dirty hand around Sarah and that was my breaking point, I could feel my body starting to shift from human to wolf out of pure rage. My canines started to lengthen, my nails extending out into claws and my clothes starting to break from the change in form. Before my body had chance to fully change Vincent yelled out,"Uh uh uh, there will be no shifting on my watch!" 

He pulled out a silver looking ball and clicked a button that was built into the top of it. Mist started to disperse, I tried to make the shift before it reached me but my enhanced wolf sense picked it up and I could feel my body becoming paralysed and go into fits. As soon as I felt my wolf features start to retract I knew he had used a Wolfbane, it’s like superman’s kryptonite. My body couldn't take it, it was starting to go into fits trying to reject it as fast as possible.

I watched as a blurry Sarah and Vincent walk past me and mumble words that I could not hear, in just a few mere seconds they were gone and I could feel myself get angry all over again at the fact that Sarah, the love of my life had been taken from me again and it was even worse now because it happened right in front of me and I did nothing, NOTHING!

After a few minutes of laying helpless on the ground I could finally feel my body coming back to me, I could feel my fingers again and little tingles erupted all over. Being Alpha, Wolfbane only affects me for small amounts of time. My senses started to come back to me;

my vision, hearing, touch and smell, but I couldn't smell the foul stench of vampire, he must be using something to cover his scent which means he's covering Sarah's as well. I can’t believe this is all happening again.

I mind linked Tony straight away telling him what has happened and to put everyone on a search for them; to kill Vincent on sight. I shoulB0!@SLas too selfish and wanted to make him suffer, instead of helping my mate!

I walked over to the boys to make sure they were still alive.

"John," I said as I shook his shoulder "John wake man, come on," he was alive but only just, his heart beat was faint. I could hear Lucas moving behind me, I turned around to help him.

"Lucas are you okay?" he had a really deep gash going from his shoulder to his chest and it looks like the leech tried to break his neck with the deep bruising and defined hand print going around his throat.

"I'm fine, how's John? Is John okay?" I looked back over to John to see him still unconscious on the floor. Lucas pushed himself off of me and hobbled over to John's unmoving body.

"John wake bro, we gotta go help Sarah. Come on wake up!" He shook his shoulders trying to stir him but he didn't wake.

I swear to gods above, I will get Sarah back and kill that disgusting leech if it’s the last thing I do!!
