I don't know what he meant by hunting. But I do know that wicked smile. I do know the bouts of fear he brings me and the complicated relationship we seem to have.

Things seemed to be quiet. Yugi and the thief king had not made themself known or atleast had not attempted an attack on the palace yet.

I wondered what Yugi was going through, would I see him again? I mean..after all...he too seemed to have feelings for me.. I sighed.. I missed yugi too, at-least he was kind, and brave.
Days passed I woke up to a flower each day. each day that alabaster vace, in my newly adorned quarters the pharaoh had gifted me before, the bouquet seemed to get larger and larger.

I hadn't seen Atem in weeks, I had assumed since he had taken my- I shook my head trying to shake the feeling away. Biting down on my lip. I was so conflicted, embarrassed...aroused.
I shook my head again He simply said he wanted to hunt. He would return...

But each day.. I picked one of the flowers from the vase and held it with my finger slowly twirling it. There was no denying it

I missed him.

~~~~~~~~~~~Yugi~~~~~~~~~~
Yugi stay hidden in a wagon covered in some hemp tarp and twine.
He had entered the city multiple time scoping out the best way to get inside, the best way to attack, the best way to kill the creature inside. The theif king awaiting word from the Pharaohs most trusted advisor. The high priest, who wanted nothing more but to take the thrown, in place for revenge. Yugi cared only for her...and his biggest threat was his brother, and for whatever reason...Atem seemed to be missing..
Yugi couldn't seem to get much out of the locals he once called friends, neighbors. everyone was so ill, and afraid from the darkness that shrouded the city. The moment when he mentioned the pharaoh they would claw their face in terror and run. He had no choice but to use his own logic to find the missing pharaoh, and find her.
Yugi spotted a man, more colorful than the people around.. he couldn't have been a local..a traveler?
Yugi quietly approached the man and cleared his throat.
"Can you tell me, is the high priest speaking to the local folk in the pharaohs stead?"
The man scratched his belly. He was indeed a merchant who seemed inpartial to the conditions of the city.
"From what I heard the palace forbidden, no one goes in, no one comes out. He licked his fingers of the rotting chicken leg in his left hand. " I do from time to time see a bird though, cross from the window to the sky musta be messages going out" he took another disgusting bite into the chicken
Yugi placed his finger on his chin...
"hmm.. a messenger bird..!"
That was how the thief king and Priest seto kept in communication. Their plan had been long planned and mysterious,Yugi only knew what the thief king told him...find the pharaoh save the girl..kill the monster before the black eclipse rises" he warned the king that he wanted his freedom and the girls ensured safety no funny business which, the king agreed too if the pharaoh was indeed killed.
He took a deep sigh and looked at the merchants wares a bright gold flower caught his eye
"is that?..."
"Ah yes a specialty thing in my city a gold rose"
"how much" Yugi asked
The merchant laughed "I doubt you could-"
yugi smiled and tossed a large bag of gold on the table taking the flower from its vase. He had been working with a band of thieves after all.
"that should do"
Yugi pulled his cloak up walking towards the palace he always managed to see her staring out from the balcony. he was relived to of found her alive, a few weeks ago, and was more shocked to see her completely unharmed if not glowing.
