Chapter 22: Escape Plan

"That was a stupid act, Ryker! You're risking your career for that girl!" Nanggagalaiting saad ni Mr. Yu kay Ryker habang tinuduro ako.

"What do you think will happen next after you did that stunt, huh?!" Pagpatuloy nito, "Are you seriously hoping for your fans to just accept the fact that your girlfriend is a fucking trash?!"

Trash? What? Hindi ako basura! Ang bangu-bango ko tapos basura ako sa paningin niya? Nasan ang hustisya?

"I don't want to live with lies, sir." Ryker said patiently. Kaming tatlo lang at saka si Amanda ang nasa loob nitong dressing room at sigurado akong kumpulan ang mga reporters sa labas.

"Everything in showbiz is a lie! You need to be a fucking liar to lure people to you! You need to lie, for them to worship and idolize you! You need to lie because that's the only way to bring yourself up!"

Everything in showbiz is a lie? So kasinungalingan din yung tinatagong relasyon ng KathNiel at PhoeTia? Utut niya!

Humigpit ang hawak ni Ryker sa kamay ko. Nakayuko lang ako all the time habang siya'y nakatingala sa manager niya, "I'm tired of this fucked up showbiz life, sir. I want to be real, not reel."

Ryker's voice was dead calm that it made me so smurfin' nervous.

"Well, let me remind you what I said before, Constantine." Mr. Yu said in a very creepy voice, "Once you entered this fucked up showbiz life, there's no way you'll be able to escape from it."

Tumayo ng tuwid si Mr. Yu saka prenteng lumabas ng kwarto. Leaving me, Ryker and Amanda inside the room.

Bumuntong hininga si Ryker saka tumingin sa akin, "I sincerely apologize for my manager's behavior. He's always like that everytime I got myself in a serious issue."

Nag-thumbs up ako sa kanya, "I understand." Though di ko pa din matanggap na basura ang tingin sa'kin ni Mr. Yu. Huhu

Napalingon ako kay Amanda nang makaramdam ako ng isang itim na aura mula sa pwesto niya. I gulped when I saw her blazing eyes and scrunched forehead, nakapadekwatro ito at magkakrus ang mga kamay habang masamang nakatingin sa aming dalawa.

Stasia Suarez version 2.0 ata siya! Ohmygods! Nakakatakot!

"You two." She said in gritted teeth, "Are you aware of the possible consquences of your actions?!"

Minasahe niya ang noo niya, "And you do have the guts to involve me with such issue."

"I'm sorry. It was all Robert's idea." Ryker said, "But I'll try my best to clear everythi--"

"Do you really think it would be that easy?!" Amanda reprimanded, "Look, Ryker, your issue right now is difficult to resolve. Don't act as if you'll be able to handle it without your management's help."

"I know it would take a lot of time, but I want to let them know about my relationship with Anna."

"Dude, you're risking Breanna's safety here." Saad ni Amanda. My safety? Ano namang ibig niyang sabihin doon?

"And clearly, Mr. Yu's planning something. Whether it would be for your sake or for your career's sake."

She breathed deeply before standing up, "But either way, both of you will end up getting hurt." Isinuot niya ang sunglasses niya bago lumabas ng nakataas ang noo.

Isinandal ni Ryker ang ulo niya sa head rest ng sofa saka mariing pumikit habang ang isang kamay niya'y minamasahe ang kanyang sentido. Pinagmasdan ko lang siya sa ganoong posisyon.

Talaga bang kailangan naming mamroblema ng ganito dahil lang may gusto kami sa isa't isa?

"You and me against the world na ba?" I mumbled silently. He opened his right eye, glancing at me, "I'm sorry for the trouble I caused."
