11. The Original

PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

So basically since the Doctor and Starlit aren't in the same place/time anymore I wanna do some perspective from the Doctor too. I'm gonna show that's its the Doctor's POV by putting Doctor Narrative, like in Agatha Christie books. All the chapters that don't have that are from Starlits perspective. Got it? Okay.

11. The Original

Doctor's Narrative

There was no other choice for me, for her. She's was just in too much danger and I can't bare to see her become Gallifrey's weapon. Killing changes a person, it's a scar, one that burns for eternity. I couldn't let that happen to her.

While she lay in the planetarium, I quietly drove the TARDIS to Earth and set a life up for her. I made a history for her, gave her a house, a job, money, everything for a simple human life. I'll try to make sure The Lord President cannot find her again.

She'll probably hate me forever. I couldn't use the Chameleon Arc on her, that's for emergencies only. She's not in any present danger right now.

I just hope she will be able to settle down. Find some friends, a family even. That would make me happy. And I must live on. Maybe I'll visit every once in a while. She at least deserves that.

So life went on for me how it should. I grew older, married and had kids. The Time Lords didn't bother me at all, and the war was not spoken of. The war didn't start and wasn't even close to being talked about.

Now I am exiled by my own people, with my granddaughter Susan. She's such a good granddaughter. She passes all her Earth classes in 1960s without any flaws. I dare say that she can almost fly the TARDIS better than I can. She growing up so fast.

But not for a single moment have I forgotten about Starlit. She has an eternal part in my mind. Maybe one day, maybe soon I'll visit her. What a surprise that would be. But what do I say. She hates me enough as it is. I can't just tell her that I left for her protection, she would object that statement in two heart beats.

"Grandfather." Susan says to me.

"Yes granddaughter?" I respond.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing really."

"Oh you can tell me."

"I'm very sure I can, but I choose not to."

"Ah come on. Please please please please. You can tell me."

I paused for a moment before saying, "my dear, what would you say to someone who probably hates with all their lives?"

"Um..." She played with her hair while thinking. "I would apologize."

"But what if you couldn't apologize."

"How can you not?"

I sat down on a chair around the small table. I thought I was going to cry for a moment but then reality struck me in the face and made me wake up. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought this up."

"Is this about... Her?"

"Her who?"

"Starlit."

"How do you-"

"I saw a picture of you and a girl with orange hair and eyes and on the back it said Starlit... Sorry. I was in your room."

"Oh Susan."

"Who is she?"

"She used to be my friend. My best friend. Time Lady as you can tell. Then Gallifrey wanted her so we ran. That didn't help anything because they would always catch up. I set her back down on Earth where she lives her life now. Somewhere in the 21st century I believe."

"What does Gallifrey want her for?"

"She is the key."

"Key to what?"

"The victory of the Time War. But as you can tell, the war hasn't started yet. I'm surprised it has been completely forgotten."

"I hope the war doesn't come."

"So do I, but the future can always change, especially if you know what's going to happen before it does." I proceed to stand up and walk over to the console. I push the buttons to get the engine started. The brakes are left on.

"Where are we going?"

"To visit an old friend."
