14. Bye Blage

"Why is it so... Empty?" I ask the Doctor.

"I don't know. This planet is usually full of life."

This doesn't make any sense. A planet this big and magnificent wouldn't just be abandoned. Something is just not right and I can tell that the Doctor knows that too.

"We should go and explore. Do you agree?" The Doctor states rather unexpectedly.

"Uh yes. Sorry."

"About what?"

"Sorry nothing."

"Come on." He gestured me to follow him through the silver streets. Blage is quite beautiful. Everything has a shade of chrome and it reflects the poisoned sunlight in such a way that even words can't describe. The place was protected by an invisible forcefield, only certain rays and dust though.

But no matter how far we walked, there was no other people, no living creatures, not even the tiniest molecule that could've contained life. The Doctor and I started to get weary really fast. Everything started to become boring and our search couldn't progress. Just absolutely nothing.

"Doctor?" I tried to snap him out of his thoughts. He just froze. I tried to see what he was looking at but there was nothing there. "Doctor!" I yelled as loud as I could in his ear. But he didn't respond in the slightest way, not even a flinch.

I panicked for a bit trying to get him back from his state when a voice from behind me said, "It wont work."

I turn lightly on my feet to face the Master. He was petting his Zask as though that was his one and only friend, and probably was too. The Zask sort of purred but it was a very scratchy pur and when he looked up at me, he growled starting to leave the Master's side. I tried to tug on the Doctor's shoulder to see if he would wake up or if I could drag him but there was no response. I looked back at the Master who had a smirk on his face.

"What did you do to him?" I yelled at him. The Zask immediately barked at me and I backed off remembering the danger.

"It's nothing really. Just simple. A small timelock I placed around him. Won't last too long. Maybe will wear out in a couple of hours. Just enough for you to disappear though."

"I have no intention of sticking around here."

"Then I will kill him."

"... But you see, the thing about a timelock is that nothing can get out and nothing can get in so lose lose situation for you." I ran away from him as fast as I could. The Zask didn't seem to follow me. My legs were ahead of my brain, making sneaky turns and running what felt like a hundred miles per hour.

Nothing could ruin my escape... except bumping into a Time Lord as I ran around the corner. I must have been running very fast because I fell right on top of him. I was about to scream when a hand was placed on my mouth making it hard for me to talk.

"Hey. It's me." Said the Time Lord as he removed his hood for a moment. It was my young never before regenerated Doctor.

"Doctor." I whispered getting cheerful. And then remembering about what he did I slapped him as hard as I could. "How dare you!"

"Not now. You're being hunted right now."

"By who?"

"Who do you think?"

"Why can't they ever just leave me alone and choose another?"

"Cause they don't work like that." A couple more Time Lords came around the corner as the Doctor put his hood back on, concealing his identity. He took both my hands and placed them behind my back.

"I got her!" He yelled cheerfully. I went along with the act, pretending to try to struggle away.

The two Time Lords approached even closer. I had to make my act more real. I started to try to kick and squirm even more. I even started to cry fake tears, but they definitely felt real. As the Doctor kept restraining me more and more until finally I dropped my head pretending to be defeated. He led me forward until the Time Lords were at our sides. I looked at his face under the hood and could just barely see him wink. He let go of me and we knocked out both Time Lords.

The Doctor led me to the TARDIS when I remembered the 4th was still in his timelock. "We have to go back."

The Doctor shuts the door and gets in my way. "No way! You are going home. It was completely stupid for my future selves to do this.

"Your future is time locked out there and is doomed unless we help him."

"Starlit, he-"

"I don't care if you don't want to help him but I do. So let me out." I started to force my self out the door but the Doctor held me inside.

"Starlit listen."

"You don't listen to me so there is no way I'll be listening to you." I pushed right through him and ran for the place I last saw the 4th. He wasn't there. A hand from behind me grabbed my hand. I jumped at the unexpected shock.

"Starlit, he's my future. He knows that this has happened and prevented it. He's probably already in his TARDIS by now drinking some tea or whatever I will do in the future."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm not." The Master's voice rang through my ears. He restrained the 4th Doctor who was barely waking up from his timelock. I tried to walk toward him but the Master pulled out a laser gun and pointed it at the Doctor's head. "You know the drill."

"Put him down." Said my Doctor.

"I want the girl." The Master retorted.

I stepped behind me Doctor. He was like my body guard at the moment while I tried to figure all the stuff out. I put on my innocent girly face to confuse the Master for the time being while inside I concentrated on a grand plan.

The 4th Doctor suddenly awakened. He was surprised by seeing the Master there holding him up by his jacket. The Master let him go and pushed him to the ground. The gun was ready to fire.

"The girl! Now!" He yelled.

The 4th Doctor looked back at me with a don't-do-it face. I was just about to step forward when a red laser shot the Master.

"Doctor Master." Said a robotic voice.

"Oh K9 it's good to see you."

"Affirmative Master."

"Wow that's amazing." Muttered my Doctor.

"Yeah yeah yeah we can all gather around a campfire and tell stories later." I told them both grabbing their hands and beginning to run to the TARDIS.

K9 entered last and we closed the doors, panting. That was quite a run today. The Doctors quickly got into a conversation while I walked over to K9 and patted his metal head. "You are such a good dog." I tell him.

"Affirmative."

I chuckle at the answer.

The Doctors end their chat and the 4th leaves to his own TARDIS. I exit with him getting one last hug before watching his TARDIS dematerialize. I step back into my Doctors TARDIS and off we go.

I walk I've to him and ask, "This time, can I please stay in the TARDIS? I won't even go out those doors, I just want to stay in here. Human life is just so boring."

He looks at me for a bit before answering. "Yes. And I'm sorry I didn't ask you last time, but everything was going by so fast and I couldn't process all the possibilities and I chose the 2nd to worse one."

"What's the worst one?"
