12. Birthday Surprise
How dare he! Just drops me off on Earth to live a human life. I don't think so. I understand if he cares, but I don't want him to make me live my life a certain way. I'd rather be stuck in the TARDIS than here. Why can't I ever choose my own fate?
But on a lighter note, I set up a nice life. I live in London. Such an amazing city. Nothing much to do though, but I made a friend. Her name is Donna Noble. She has such an awesome personality, doesn't stand for any funny business. We go to college together, but this will be our fourth and last year of college. I don't know if we will still be able to hang out afterwards, so for now we spend a lot of time together.
My birthday is 2 days away, and Donna is seriously planning. I keep telling her that I don't want one, but she doesn't listen at all. Plus I'm turning 62 years old, I really don't want to celebrate how old I am, especially now that I am on Earth. Of course I can't tell Donna my true age, so I tell her I'm 22 instead. It makes sense too, and she believes me.
I just spend my days relaxing. There's no need for me to study for the huge exams coming in a month. They are nothing compared to the ones on Gallifrey.
I just pull out my book and start reading. Just another Sherlock Holmes book. It's extremely easy to figure out the culprit. The fastest I understood once was from chapter 1. But it's entertaining to read anyway. The Hound of the Baskerville it's called.
I finish the mystery in about an hour, right when Donna barged in. "Hey Star!" She yells as she enters. I gave her a key to the apartment so she comes as she pleases.
"Hi Donna. What's up?" I ask her.
"Nothing much. Hey did you finish that report for Mr. Smith?"
"Yeah, I finished in two months ago."
"Well I'm sorry that I'm not as smart as you."
I get up from the couch and walk over to the kitchen. "Want some tea?"
"Green please."
I prepared some tea and we sat down for a bit. She didn't talk my birthday party or anything. "Anything new?" I try to start a conversation.
"Nope nothing."
"So why'd you come?"
"Just to see what you are up to?"
"Just reading and being myself. Same as usual."
"Fine. Um... Can you help me with the report?"
"Sure thing."
For the rest of the evening I help her understand the String Theory. She left and I got back into bed and stayed up all night.
The next day was no better...
My birthday happened to be a nice day. Lucky for me, Donna didn't go overboard. We had a nice simple day shopping and went to a nice restaurant. Donna got me a cute necklace for my birthday. I immediately put it on. It reminds me of outer space.
Oh how much I really miss traveling.
Donna dropped me off at my apartment. I thanked her for the amazing day and entered. The place was dark. But I sense that someone has been here. I turn on a light when someone comes up to me and hugs me.
"What the-?" I yell.
"Starlit." Said an elderly voice.
"What? Who are you?"
"I'm the Doctor."
I backed up a bit to see the Doctor so old. He wore a white shirt with a black jacket overtop, black pants. Very simple look, guess he gave up on colors. I could tell he hasn't regenerated. Then my rage came back.
