32. Signature Look

"Come with me." The Doctor looked at me with his pleading eyes.

"I can't. I'm done with the travel." I answered back. "I don't need any more civilizations chasing me off their planets."

"Please Starlit."

"Why don't you just take Amy?"

"That's not a bad idea."

"Doctor!" A voice came yelling from far away but getting closer. It was definitely Amy's voice.

"She wants to come with you. It's all she has ever dreamed of." I continued but the Doctor looked back into the TARDIS.

"I just need to take her on a quick trip and then I'll be back. Tell Amy I promised that." Before I could respond, the Doctor shut the door and the sound of the dematerializing TARDIS whooshed through the air.

"Did I miss him again?" Amy asked right behind me making me jump into a defensive position.

"He'll be back... again. Hopefully in a shorter amount of time this time." Also known as two years. This new regeneration cannot keep time at all.

Amy wandered back to the house and I sat down on the grass, remembering sitting here twelve years ago.

Two years later...

The wheezing and whooshing sounds of the TARDIS were very hard to miss for me, even after waking up from a deep sleep. It was like a signal, this attachment with the machine that always alerted me.

As I got out of the bed to look out the window, I heard the sound of the door closing. I peeled back the curtains and watched as Amy neared the machine. The Doctor stood right in front of it trying to share the glory, which wasn't exactly working. I still couldn't understand the tweed jacket, it wasn't like I could stop him from wearing it anyway.

I wish I could've seen Amy's face when she entered the TARDIS, I would have loved to remember my first impression of a TARDIS but that memory was completely gone.

Then I realized an extremely important fact: Amy was getting married in the morning. I couldn't just let her run away from this, not from Rory. I ran out of my room, down the stairs and into the garden, but I was too late, the time machine already disappeared.

There was nothing I could do and I definitely wasn't going to stress over the situation so I went back inside and fell asleep to a dreamless night.

The next morning was strange, I woke up later than usual and only woke up because Rory called me.

"Hey Star. Do you know where Amy is?" He asked straight away but tried to keep his voice casual.

I could tell him that she flew away with the Doctor or reply with a 'no.' The answer was pretty obvious.

"Sorry but I haven't seen her this morning. I went to check up on her but she wasn't in her room. The wedding dress was still hanging on the door. I'm not sure where she's at." I began to walk toward my closet when I found that I've been wearing the same clothes for about fourteen years.

"Are you sure she didn't call you or anything? I mean she has to be somewhere around here."

"I'm sure she is, we just need a search party. Leadworth isn't a big town, someone is bound to know where she is." I headed down the stairs to eat some breakfast, I gave up thinking about what to wear and just came down in a robe.

"Will you help me look for her then?"

"Sure, but I'm going to be busy today."

"Why today?"
