Chapter 4

Chapter 4:

The chains came rushing down towards Hinata, everyone rushed towards her leaving Gaara and I. Since we were all caught up in the chains rushing at Hinata, we didn't have might time to recover when it switched it's direction and rushed towards Gaara.

I did the hand signs for my transportation jutsu and transported myself in front of Gaara, I tackled him just when the chains attacked my back. The pain was unbelievably painful.

I let out a loud gasp as the chain started sucking out my chakra. It felt like my insides were turning to slush.

I opened my eyes to see Gaara staring up at me, his eyes confused. I clenched my teeth together as I tried to stand up. I stood up on shaky legs, the chains rattled. I looked behind me seeing as though ten chains were attached to my back.

"RAI!' Hinata rushed over and touch the chains, she flinched back. Kosuke pulled her back as Hinata struggled against his arms.

"K-KOSUKE! L-let m-m-me go! We have to help h-her!' Hinata stuttered as she stopped struggling. Tears pricked her eyes. I felt my tailed beast's chakra starting to extract itself from the tailed beast.

"I can't take the chains out. They're connected to her whole chakra system, if I try...I'll probably end up killing her instead, and then her tailed beast will be extracted for sure." Neji said as he deactivated his byakugan.

It got extremely hard to breathe.

I tried to steady my breathing and closed my eyes. I packed my water with chakra and then controlled it to wrap around the chains, it then turned into syrupy water and seeped into the chain's link. That slowed the process of extracting the tailed beast chakra and it helped lessen the pain.

"Don't waste your thinking on how to take the chains out. There's no possible way unless Mizuki succeeds." I informed them. They all nodded. I then turned my gaze up towards the sky, all we wanted to do was get Deidara back now I'm stuck here with ten chakra chains and my old teammates.

Like way to jinx it Rain .-.

The clouds started forming random animals, a bunny, then a turtle, then a cat, then a dog, and so on. The chains were slowly sucking the life out of me and here I am looking at clouds.

"Rain, why did you save Gaara?" Kankuro asked as he stood in front of me. My eyes found his and I gave him a blank stare. I don't know why I saved Gaara, again it was all instinct really.

"We can't afford to lose one tails to someone else." I replied in a monotone voice. Kosuke snorted and shook his head before letting out a low chuckle. He mumbled a few things about wanting to kick my ass and stuff like that.

Kankuro stared at me before sighing. He walked over and leaned closer to me until his mouth was by my ear.

"Remember all the years ago when you knocked everyone out? You didn't fully knock me out, I was awake the whole time." He whispered into my ear before leaning back. I tensed up, he heard what I said to Lady Hokage, the Senseis, and Hinata.

I just stared at him and then looked forward.

"Good for you."

Then all of a sudden music started blasting. Mizuki. Everyone looked around, confused where the music was coming from. This made me tense up even more, whenever Mizuki played his music it normally means there's going to be one hell of a battle.
