Chapter 21

Chapter 21:
(RAIN'S POV)

Mizuki ordered a bunch of weird food and dragged me over to a table. He slid in front of me and grabbed my hand.

He smiled as he played around with my bracelet. I raised an eyebrow as he giggled. Like he actually giggled, a little tee hee .

"What's on your mind?" I asked. Mizuki just shrugged.

"I like this girl, a lot. But I don't know how to ask her out." He said bluntly. I started laughing as he laughed along. Matsuriiiii

"It's Matsuri isn't it?!" I said. He smiled slightly and nodded. He sighed dreamily as he rested head on the table.

"Yeah. She's amazing you know? She's really stubborn, but she's her own person. Doesn't take anyone else's crap and she loyal. She's utterly beautiful and ugh." He said while sighing again. I had to restrain myself from laughing.

"YOU'RE SO WHIPPED MAN!" I said as I burst out laughing. Mizuki mumbled under his breath as he waved me off. I stopped laughing and smiled at my best friend.

"Hmm. Are you planning on going to the Leaf or Sand?" I said. He shrugged again.

"I'm staying with you sis. I'm not gonna let you out of my sight babe." He said in a matter of fact way. I just rolled my eyes.

"Well here's the thing. You guys been dating right? Like going on dates and all that?" I asked. He nodded.

"Well that's good! You guys aren't rushing into the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing. Just taking it step by step. Honestly if you feel like it's the right time just do it. You can plan it if you want but there may be a time where it might be perfect to ask her, that's not part of your plan... If you get me." I said. Mizuki looked at me confused before mouthing a few things I said. He then nodded slowly before stroking his nonexistent beard -.-

"I feel you."

I smiled as the food came, we both dug in.

"So, how's you and Gaara?" Mizuki asked as we walk through the semi deserted streets of the village.

"What do you mean?" I said. Mizuki chuckled as he bumped his shoulder against mine.

"You know exactly what I mean." He said. I laughed and shrugged.

"We're cool I guess. I'm staying at the Leaf until the wedding, so it looks like you're staying here too. You should ask Matsuri when we return back to the Sand." I said while shrugging again. Mizuki kicked the dirt and nodded.

"Yeah, that'll be perfect! Do you think she'll say yes?" Mizuki said with hopefulness in his tone. I smiled. You can see the connect they have with each other. Plus they balance each other out pretty great.

"I'm not sure." I said truthfully. Even though she may like him a lot, that doesn't mean she's ready to make it official.

"Even if she isn't, I'll wait." Mizuki said, I looked over and he had a small smile on his face. I rolled my eyes, he's totally whipped.

"You guys are so adorable man! I was watching her fight, she's come a long way." I said with a grin on my face. I remember the first time I met her, she was a shy one. But at the battle, she was kicking ass!
