Everyone stares at Dr. Ratio with a surprised look as Nia helps up Khoi, whose eyes are swirling from getting railed in the face with chalk. Kunimitsu and Ratio stare at each other until they extend their hands and shake hands.

Kunimitsu: "Been a long time, Ratio."

Ratio: "Yes, it has, Vepar."

Natsumi snaps her fingers in Khoi's face.

Natsumi: "Hey, idiot, can you hear me?"

Khoi: "Urgh...am I in la-la land?"

Natsumi: "Yep, he's fine."

Nia: "You two know each other?"

Kunimitsu: "Yep, everyone, meet Dr. Ratio, the previous Dendro Archon's right-hand follower and the smartest person in the Akademiya. And no, he's not the Grand Sage because he refused the title."

Dunyarzad looks behind the group and panics a bit.

Kunimitsu: "Looks like I'll need to pay a visit to the desert soon..."

We cut to the Sumeru Desert, where Mydei heads into one of the desert ruins. He goes deep into the structure until he comes across a large shrine.

Mydei: "So, this is what that Lawrence lady spoke about...if you can hear me, speak now."

???: "Well now, I didn't expect to have visitors. And from someone as prestigious as you, Prince of the Fallen Nation."

Mydei: "You must be one of the Scarlet King's Seven Pillars, Thoth, the Ibis King."

Thoth: "Quite resourceful! And such knowledge! I am impressed. Tell me, and forgive my bluntness, but why does a Khaenri'ahn have an interest here?"
