Barry furrows his brow, "What do you mean?"
"I didn't realize it until you told me about the existence of another speedster. But I have felt him."
Barry looks at her, surprised.
"At the time I figured it was the Flash who was tired or something, because it felt like the same force, yet... different." Wenn continues.
"But now, knowing what I know, I know it was him. And his force was a lot weaker than yours." Wenn tells him
"Sure didn't feel like it, he always knew what I was going to do, always had me pinned."
"Of course he did! For 15 years he'd been watching you, studying your every move, manipulating your life in to the direction he needed it to go. Not to mention the years of experience he had using superspeed, and fighting future you!" Wenn states.
"You are just scratching the surface of what you can do, and the development of your powers has also partly been influenced and manipulated by him!"
Barry blinks
"I...I never realized that... Not to that extent anyway, but you are right."
He smiles
"You are even smarter than given credit for."
She snorts, "Maybe, but Barry you hit the ground running after you found out what you could do. I locked myself in my apartment for months, trying to wrap my head around what had happened and what I could do."
"That must have been hard. Going though that all alone." He states.
Wenn sighs, "Yeah... But I got through, I took the scientific approach and analyzed everything and here I am."
She smiles at him, hoping he won't sense that there is more to it, she's not ready for talking about that.
Besides, it's not about her right now. It's about him.
Fortunately he doesn't pick up on it, or so she thinks. Barry feels she's brushing him off, but he decides not to press. He parks it for another time.
"You sound like Caitlin" He smiles.
"Caitlin, she is one of your buddies from S.T.A.R. labs, right?" She asks
"Yes, she's amazing, as is Cisco. They helped me back on my feet and were my go to for everything Flash, helped solving crimes, helped me train, they're smart, resourceful and always... always there when I fell."
Barry swallows thickly.
Wenn scoots a bit closer, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Barry, don't you see? You need to let them back in."
She slides her hand down to his hand and squeezes it a bit.
"The Flash needs his team, but more importantly, the man behind the mask needs his friends and family...."
