The Flash: Lost...

Chapter X

When he gets home, he takes of his clothes and climbs in to bed.
An hour later he is still awake. Not just because of the thoughts about the past events that have been plaguing him for months, no, this time one very attractive forensic scientist is also occupying his mind.
Basic physics. An attraction easily explained by science.
He scrubs hand over his face.
"Is it really, Barry? Oh... oh no! You LIKE her." He hears Wells' sarcastic voice in his head.

"Oh great, just what I needed."

"Well Barry," Wells continues, "what are you going to do about it?"
"Just shut up" Barry grits through his teeth and puts his pillow over his head.

But the voice continues "You know... I told you I was going to kill you, then kill everyone you love. But when I return, and you know I will, I'm going to make you suffer. I am going to make you WATCH when I kill them."
Next thing he knows he sees Cisco's lifeless body lying on the floor. Wells is standing over him, grinning, eyes glowing red.
"Not fast enough Barry"

Wells Flashes towards Caitlin, who has appeared out of nowhere.
Barry follows but can't get close, all he can do is watch from a distance how Wells vibrates his hand through her chest and see her body fall lifelessly to the floor when he extracts his hand.

"Oh, lets see who's next"
His dad appears.
"Henry..." Wells says with a grin on his face "SO nice you could join us"
He zips towards Henry and again Barry can't get close, no matter how fast he runs.

"Please..." He pleads "please stop" Tears are now streaming down his face.
Wells looks at him and without batting an eyelash he crushes Henry's heart.
Barry falls to his knees "Please..."
In a blink Wells is next to him. 
"You're.not.fast enough" He whispers in Barry's ear and takes off again, towards his next victim.

 "STOP!!"

Barry wakes up screaming, tears streaming down his face.
He's panting heavily, trying to get a grip.
"It ends...NOW" He tells himself
No more agreeing to diners with Joe and Iris, no more visits to Wenn, and he isn't going to let Caitlin and Cisco get wind of him again.
 "I have to train. Get faster, get stronger. I have to be ready for anything."

"I need to protect them"
