The Flash: Lost...

Chapter XXIII

Wenn swallows. God that felt good...

It's been a long time since someone made her feel like a teenager who has her first big high school crush.
She really wants to feel those lips on hers again, but seeing as she is in shambles and the room is kinda filled with a lot of people, she's gonna have to put that on hold.

Barry strokes the side of her face with his thumbs, then lets go and turns to the others.
"Okay, so Wells is trapped inside the Speedforce. How the hell are we going to keep him contained either in there or...get him out and contained here in the real world."

"Well, the containment cell in the pipeline seemed to do the trick last time." Cisco answers.
"Did it? Or did he want us to think that? He needed Barry and the particle accelerator. So being here, at S.T.A.R. labs put him right where he wanted to be." Caitlin notes.

Cisco hums in agreement.

"How about those nanites from Ray Palmer? It neutralized his powers." Barry offers.
"No, that was only temporary. We need something permanent." Cisco says.

"You need to..." "We need to..."
Both Wenn and Caitlin start at the same time. They smile at each other.
"Sorry, go ahead" Wenn mentions to Caitlin.
"Thanks, I think we were about to say the same." Caitlin smiles. Wenn nods.
"We need to list every little detail about the Reverse Flash EVERYTHING, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Based on that we can devise a plan or maybe some sort of holding cell or device."
Cisco walks over to the computer. "We need to do it fast, before he 'wakes' up and starts to taunt Barry again."
Caitlin takes place next to him and they start to work.

 Joe walks over to Barry and Wenn.
"You okay?" He asks Barry
"Yeah... Now that I know I'm not going crazy, I will be able to keep him at bay myself."
"And you have me to help with that." Wenn states.

"You, young lady, you need to rest" Barry tells her sternly.
Wenn sighs "I want to help, I feel so useless"
"I think you've done enough for tonight. You need to heal and get back on your feet, alright?"
Wenn gives him an annoyed side glance.
Barry puts his finger under her chin and turns her head. He looks her in the eye and repeats softly; "Alright?"
Wenn deflates, "Fine."

Barry helps her lie down and sits down next to the bed. He takes her hand in his.
"This time I'm gonna help you sleep." He leans forward and presses another kiss to her lips. He lets it linger for a little while, then to her disappointment pulls back again. He smiles at her.
She smiles back. Looking at that smile isn't bad either though.
She then takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. Caitlin comes over to check her vitals and bandages.
Barry looks up at Caitlin and gives her a little nod. She takes the hint.

Caitlin takes a syringe and puts a small sedative in to Wenns IV bag.

Not long after that Wenns breath evens out and her vitals show a resting pattern.

Barry kisses her forehead, then goes over to Cisco to help with figuring out how to get Wells this time.
"How's it going?" He asks.
"Well, easiest would be just to off him." Cisco says
Joe gives him a stern look.

"But we can't, " He continues. " So, remember how we made that barrier to trap him, but he sent Everyman instead? We could use that barrier again. Line the containment cell with it AND feed a steady stream of nanites in to it so he remains powerless. We could also use Wenn to sap his energy every once in a while."

Barry laughs, "That's quite a safety upon safety upon safety!"
Cisco looks at him, face hard and serious. "He can NEVER run free again, Barry, EVER."

Barry apologizes, "I'm sorry, I know his betrayal hit you the most. I shouldn't have made light of it."

"It's okay, man. I'm glad to see you positive and laughing again." He gestures at Wenn, "She sure has an effect on you." Cisco winks.

Barry looks over to Wenn. "Yeah... I don't know, I've never felt like this before. Not even with Iris. Maybe it has something to do with our powers connecting, but she is such a sweet and caring person. After what I've done, how I behaved and treated her, if I were her it'd be running in the opposite direction."
Cisco gets up. "You know, I've read somewhere that it is always some sort of natural force that attracts people towards each other, making them fall in love. Yours just happen to be a tad stronger."

Barry snorts amused "A tad?! Dude, she blew up my apartment! Those are gonna be some interesting couple fights!" Both men burst in to laughter.
Caitlin looks up and gives a small smile, she missed this, 'her' boys joking around, the cortex filled with laughter and enthusiasm, it feels good.

"But all joking aside. I think I'd rather have him stay inside the Speedforce somehow. He's unable to get out on his own anyways, so if I can find a way to block him, or maybe close the 'exit' to this part of the highway we can keep him contained in there." Barry theorizes.

"Barry, Barry, Barry, you know you can't keep me here, I am always one step ahead." Wells' voice sounds inside Barry's head.

Not just Barry's though, Cisco hears him too. His eyes fly all over the place "Is that...?" He whispers.

Barry looks at Cisco, but decides not to go in to it now. If Cisco can also hear Wells, they need to keep that from him for now, just in case. Can't risk him using that against them.

Barry closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, then an idea pops in to his head.

Cisco, does that treadmill still work?

"Of course!" Cisco follows his trail of thought and runs to the control room, Caitlin on his heels.

"What are you going to do?!"

"He's going in to the Speedforce." Cisco says as he fires up the controls.

"Barry, no! What if that was his plan. What if he gets you!" Caitlin starts

"Caitlin, I know I can take him. In there is where we need him to stay, out here... the risk of him escaping is to big." Barry tells her.
Caitlin nods unsure. "Okay..."

Barry steps on to the treadmill and starts to run. Within seconds he's up to speed and connects to the Speedforce.
Caitlin, Cisco and Joe suddenly see a small wormhole, Barry flashes through and he's gone, as is the wormhole.

Joe jumps up "Oh god!"

Cisco pulls him down on to the chair again. "It's okay, Joe, he's fine."
"How do you know that?!" Joe says exasperated.

 "Cause I can sense...Wait... I can see him, them." He now sees Wells and Barry, standing opposite each other in what seems to be some kind of... dream field.

Barry starts to speak "I'm not afraid of you anymore. I'm not going to let you get to me anymore, so back off."
A sinister smile forms on Wells' face. He lunges forward, vibrating, red lightning shooting from his hands.
But Barry is prepared and counters the attack, also starts vibrating and yellow lightning shoots from his own hands.

The flashes meet in the middle.

Barry then remembers what happened with Black out and what Wenn told him; an energy overload, that should do the trick. So he kicks it up. Within seconds, Wells is surrounded by Barry's force.

"NO!" Wells yells. "I am the strongest! You can't beat me!! You never have!"
Barry walks over to Wells, growing stronger with every step.
"STOP! PLEASE! NO MORE!" Wells now screams.

"One... more... push" Barry says calmly and the light becomes blinding for a second.
Cisco blinks. "Wow, Barry..." He whispers
Barry stops vibrating, but lightning is still flashing around him. Wells is on the ground in front of him, whimpering.

Barry kneels in front of him, bends forward and whispers in his ear, "You.lose"

Barry gets up and looks at his hands, still crackling with electricity, then back at Wells.
"And thank you."
He turns around and starts running away from Wells.

Cisco looses the image and suddenly there is a Flash, a bang and Barry is back on the treadmill.

He stops running and Cisco, Joe and Caitlin hurry in to the room.

"THAT WAS AWESOME, MAN!!!" Cisco throws his arms around Barry and hugs him.
Barry pulls back and smiles, then looks Cisco dead in the eyes,

"You saw us, didn't you?"
