The Flash: Lost...

Chapter XXIV

Cisco looks at the floor, visibly uncomfortable. "I... yeah... I don't know how, but I did. I ..." He starts pacing the room.
"Wells... Wells, ssaid I was affected as well, but... but"

"Cisco..." Caitlin goes over to him and puts her hands on his shoulders. Cisco looks at her, tears shining in his eyes.
"I can't be..."
Caitlin pulls him in for a hug.
"We were IN this building when the explosion took place. We were all hit by the dark matter wave, the chances of someone within the lab being affected was always higher than anyone else in the city. Maybe I am affected too. We just haven't noticed it yet, or hasn't manifested yet" Caitlin tries to reassure him.

Cisco lets go of Caitlin. He's confused, upset.
"How long have you know?" Barry asks him
"Those dreams I had, about Wells killing me?" Barry nods, Cisco continues
"After we figured out Wells had been watching and manipulating us the whole time, I figured he'd done something to me, to make me have those dreams but, but..."
He starts pacing again,
"It felt too real. And I've been having these feelings. I can't put my finger on it. Like... Like..."
He walks over to Barry, "Like for example, you Barry, you ALWAYS vibrate. Not just when you make yourself blurry, but even now. It's so fast, the human eye can't register it, but I do, I feel it."
He points to Wenn, "So does she. Must be because of the nature of your powers.

And images sometimes pop in my head at random. Images of... I don't even know what it is I'm supposed to be seeing. And just now, you fighting Wells in the Speedforce? That was the clearest image to date. I could follow exactly what was going on."

Cisco looks at Barry, "You, you know exactly what your power is about. I haven't got a clue what I can do, and...and if it is... good..."
"Is that why you didn't tell us? Because you are afraid your powers will somehow turn you over to the dark side?" Barry asks him.

Cisco nods.
Barry mulls it over. "Well, you never know, but Cisco, you are a good man. You want to do good, help people, like me. I've always suspected that there must be more good Metahumans out there, just like Bett, Ronnie and Stein, and Wenn. But like you, I guess most of them are afraid to reveal it."

"it's the most terrifying thing in the world to find out you can do something that can potentially hurt others..." Everyone turns to see Wenn standing behind them.
Barry rushes over, "What are you doing out of bed?! You should be resting."
"I'm fine, I need to move, ground my energy or things might go flying." She smiles.
"Okay, just... be careful." Barry tells her.

Cisco walks over to them. "So... what did you do when you found out that you were 'changed'?"
"Locked myself in my apartment for months, trying to figure out what the hell happened and how to get a handle on myself. I pulled every metal object to me involuntarily, scared the shit out of me." Wenn answers

"Yeah, we got a little taste of that." Caitlin states
Wenns head flies up to look at Caitlin "Oh god! When I was unconscious! I'm so sorry!"
"Not your fault." Caitlin smiles, "Barry helped us with that.
"Ah, you figured that one out." She looks at Barry, amused.

"It was by accident, but yeah, thinking about it, it made sense." He smiles.
Ugh... That smile, she can blame her being weak in the knees on her injuries now, but man...
She shakes it off and walks over to Cisco, "You not only have the best equipment, but also some of the most brilliant minds to your disposal to figure out your powers."
Cisco looks at her, despair still present in his eyes.
She puts her arms around his shoulders, "They are your friends, who will stick by you no matter what."
She looks around the room, "I didn't have that..." She whispers
She swallows thickly and turns her attention back to Cisco.
"But you have to accept it first, only then can you start developing and mastering it. Like this:"
She puts her hands on Cisco's shoulders and slowly trails down his arms.

When she reaches his hands she asks, "How do you feel?"
"I feel, relaxed! How did you do that?" He asks her.
Wenn wiggles her fingers in front of him and whispers "Magic..."
Everyone in the cortex bursts in to laughter.
Barry walks over, still chuckling. "She's right, we're here for you. Just like you have been here for me all that time. Dude! We can become each others sidekick!"
Cisco smiles, "That'd be really cool."

 "It's been quite a day. I think we could all use some rest. Lets go home." Joe announces.
Wenn looks confused,

"Wait, what about Barry and his Wells problem?"

"Uhm... You kinda missed that." Barry tells her.

"What?! Aw man!" She is really disappointed. "How? Where is he now?"

"I'll tell you later. First lets get you home." Barry answers

"Alright" Wenn answers

Wenn walks over to Caitlin, "Thank you for patching me up."
"I have some experience with patching up careless Metahumans."
Caitlin winks. She takes Wenns hands in hers, "Thank you for bringing back our Barry..."
Wenn blushes and looks over at Barry who's joking with Cisco, "He's an amazing guy..."
"He sure is." Caitlin gives her a careful hug.
Barry comes over, "Ready?" Wenn nods.

He picks her up carefully and Flashes them to her apartment.

Wenn opens the door and steps inside.
She takes a deep breath.

"Home..."
