6th Night: I Will Stay And Fight!

Once I began to to remove the bags from my closet, things came to mind. Why am I running away? This isn't right.. What will be accomplished just staying hidden somewhere with Rido still alive? If things continue just as they are, Rido will continue to kill until he has me.

"Kaname.. I have been thinking about something.."

He was looking outside until he looked back at me with a questioned look.

"What is it?"

"I don't think this is right.. Me leaving. I can't just keep running away. I have to face Rido, no matter what. I have to avenge my mother and Kaito."

Kaname smiled.

"That's my girl. Strong and confident."

He came up to me and kissed me on the cheek. I then went to my desk, opened the drawer and got out some paper out.

"What are you doing?" said Kaname.

"Writing a letter. I'm going to tell my father that I'm going to fight back. If Rido makes his move, I will make mine."

I then began writing the letter to my father.

            Dear Father,
                           I am writing this letter to tell you that I will not be leaving Cross Academy. At first, I thought it was for the best to go back home, but then I realized, why continue to hide? Nothing will get out of this, and if Rido continues to be alive, who knows who he will kill next? I'm going to face him, Father, and fight for the Kobayashi family,and avenge Mother and Kaito.  Plus.. I have my true love, Kaname, here to protect me. I'll be fine, Father. Don't worry about me, and just continue to protect the others back home. I love you.

"And there. Done." I said.

I then summoned my familiar, which is the white snowy owl, with yellow eyes. I tied the letter to its torso.

"Take this to the Kobayashi residence."

It understood, so it just flew away in its direction.

"Well, Mitsuki, now that you're not leaving, I won't need this anymore." said Kaname.

I then smiled. "I guess not.."

As I was sitting down on my desk, Kaname embraced me from behind.

"Shall we go back downstairs, and make up something to tell everyone?"

"Haha, let's." I got up. He held out his hand to me.

"Shall we?"

"Yes, let's go." I took his hand and we left my room.

Kaname and I went down the stairs and everyone had worried expressions. Hanabusa and Takuma came running up to me.

"Mitsuki-chan, are you ok?" Takuma said.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Something big happened, but things are ok now. I'm fine."

Hanabusa looked down to where Kaname was holding my hand.

"Mitsuki-chan.. Are you and Lord Kaname.." Kaname then finished the sentence.

"Yes, Aido. Mitsuki is my lover."

He then put his head down, but then looked up instantly. "Congratulations! To the both of you! I wish you all the best, Mitsuki-chan."

I felt very bad for Hana-chan. He has always had feelings for me, but always I have thought of him as my best friend.
