15th Night: Back to Cross Academy

*10:00 pm*
I wake up, and right in front of me, Kaname is laying down in front of me, staring at me.

"Oh my god, Kaname! You scared the crap out of me! I thought you were still sleeping, since you are the sleepyhead around here."

He laughed.

"Now, now, Mitsuki. just remember now that you are the sleepyhead here, not me. If you just want to go back to sleep, then go right ahead. We were up almost for the entire day yesterday."

"No, I'm good. I'm wide awake now." I looked outside to the balcony.

"Want to get some fresh air? Tonight is the last night we are going to be here." I said.

"Sure." Kaname said. Kaname and I went to the balcony.

"It's such a beautiful night, is it?" He said. The moon was shining brightly in the sky, and it was bigger than its usual size.

"Yes. It is, isn't it? But I've been thinking lately. It's hard to believe we are going back to Cross Academy, after all these nine months. I know, that this happiness and peace isn't going to last long, and we have to prepare for the worst to come but, I'm happy. This time I'm ready to face what is coming and we have to protect Koichi from Rido."

Kaname stayed silent. He was looking sadly at the moon. Is he ok? What happened to him? Then all of a sudden he takes me and embraces me.

"Kaname, what's going on?" He didn't want to answer my question. He then spoke.

"I love you, Mitsuki. Are you going to love me, no matter what happens? I was dumbfounded. Why is he saying this to me?

"Of course I will. Why are you asking me this?" He just embraced me tighter.

*Kaname's POV*

"But I've been thinking lately. It's hard to believe we are going back to Cross Academy, after all these nine months. I know, that this happiness and peace isn't going to last long, and we have to prepare for the worst to come but, I'm happy. This time I'm ready to face what is coming and we have to protect Koichi from Rido."

As I heard Mitsuki speak these words, I feel like I am betraying her by leaving her. But this is to protect her and our son. To be honest, I don't want her to get involved in this. Even if she is strong, possibly even stronger than me, I just can't see her fighting.  My plan is going into action. In order to protect Mitsuki and Koichi both, I will go defeat Rido, along with Masato. He and I secretly talked about this before Mitsuki and I left Cross Academy.

*flashback*
"Masato, can I speak with you for a moment?"

I said. Masato then came up to me.

"What's up, Kaname? Don't worry. I've got it all under control."

"No. It's not that. I need your help with something, but you have to promise me not to tell Mitsuki."

Masato then began to listen.

"When the day is approaching to Rido's reawakening, I need you to come with me to defeat Rido. You know my secret. Since I was awakened by him, I cannot give him the final blow. Also, we must leave a few days before. Mitsuki cannot know, because I know she's going to want to come, and I don't want her to be involved because by that time our child will be born. As soon as he awakens, he is going to go get Mitsuki, and since you and Mitsuki bear the same blood, he is going to think that you are her, since you are with me."

Masato then looked a little worried.

"But Mitsuki will suffer, with your sudden disappearance." I looked down sadly.
