13th Night: A New Kuran Is Born

        It's been nine months since Kaname put Rido to rest. Ever since then, it has been peaceful and quiet. Kaname and I temporarily left Cross Academy, because of my pregnancy, and went back to the Kobayashi residence, and Masato temporarily took Kaname's place as the Dorm President. Any work that I missed, I told Masato to send it, so I wouldn't be held back. When I told my father, Ryoichi that I was pregnant, he was a little worried because I'm young, but Kaname told him not to worry, that he will protect me and the child. Lately, I've been so tired and hungry for blood.

           It was a peaceful evening, and I was laying in bed in a different room in the Kobayashi residence. Today is the due date for our child to be born, and I am currently in labor. It hurts so much! This baby is tough! He or she is killing me here, it won't stop kicking, and let me tell you, These are powerful kicks! Kaname had come back from the Academy to see how things were going over there.

"Mitsuki, are you all right? Do you need blood?" For these past nine months, I have been drinking blood from Kaname. But I can't just keep drinking. He's been very tired lately and sleeping more because of the loss of blood.

"No. I'm fine. The baby's just going crazy in there, that's all." Kaname then sat on the bed and held my hand.

"I'm scared to have this baby. I've heard it's really painful, especially when it's a vampire baby."

"Don't worry. It's going to be ok, Mitsuki. I'm going to be by your side always." I then got up carefully and sat up carefully against the wall. He then reached into his pocket and when I saw what he pulled out I was surprised and my heart beat fast in the midst of all this pain.

"For all these years, from the time were were kids, up to now and the future, I will always love you. Now I want to make it official that you are mine and mine only.."

I saw him open up the case and there it was a huge pink diamond ring! I gasped.

"Mitsuki Kobayashi, will you marry me, and be with me forever?"

However after he said those words.. the contractions began to get even stronger.

"Ow.." The pain kept increasing.

"Mitsuki, are you sure your ok?" Kaname looked worried. But saying it loudly while in pain, I answered his question.

"Yes! Yes I will! I love you, Kaname!"

He put the diamond ring on my ring finger and gently kisses my lips.

"Kaname, as much as I want to celebrate our engagement, we can't now! I-I think the baby's coming!"

Kaname began to get nervous.

"U-um... Ok! I'll go get the nurses! Just breath in and breathe out.." But the pain was extremely strong, so I ended up screaming at him.

"OK! HURRY UP! FIND THEM! I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE OF THIS!!!" As I said that, the windows broke. Kaname left the room quickly looking for the nurses. They came running in, with Kaname in tow.

"Lady Mitsuki! How are you feeling?" What the hell?! Don't they see the pain I'm going through?

"It hurts more than it did before. And it won't stop kicking." Then one of the nurses said,

"All right, Lady Mitsuki. It's time for you to deliver your child."

They prepared me for delivery, and Kaname stood to my left holding my hand tightly. "Deeply breathe in.. and deeply breathe out.." I began to push with all my might.

"Great job, Lady Mitsuki! The head is in sight, keep going!" I pushed.

"Ow.. It hurts! It hurts so much!" However, Kaname held my hand tightly.
