Brand New Beginning

Chapter twenty one

                Once we reached the house, Esme was waiting for us. She pulled me into a hug and called Carlisle, he came in and hugged me aswell. We walked in and Seth followed, I held his hand stayed close. I thought I had lost him but i'm glad I didn't, I would squeeze his hand every once in a while. "Here, you are both probably hungry" Esme said. She brought Seth and I a plate full of sandwhichs and fruit, Seth and I dug in and ate a sandwhich. I grabbed a strawberry as I saw Emmett and Jasper came up and whispered something in Carlisles ears. He nodded and looked over at us, Esme seemed to stand a little straighter. "What?" I asked putting down my second sandwhich. "Alice saw the army of newborns, they are coming in a week and a half. Sooner then we expected" Carlisle said, thats not possible. "What?" I said standing up, "thats to soon, are we ready?" Carlisle ran his hand through his hair, "the pack needs to be informed" he said looking at Seth. Seth nodded and walked outside, "Where will we fight them?" I asked. "Deep in the forest by the clearing" Carlisle said. I nodded, Carlisle grabbed his cellphone and quickly dialed a number. Seth came back in, "Sam knows and we are ready to fight" he said. Carlisle nodded and walked into his study, I heard a car pull up and I heard Alice come up the stairs. "Hey" she said and walked next to Jasper and held his hand. Edward and Bella came through the door, I nodded at them and they nodded back. Seth came up to me and held my hand, I looked over at Edward. "So the fight is going on in a week and a half" I said, Edward nodded. "Bella is going to stay here until the fight" Edward said.

        "Alright and we should stick together in case they decide to come earlier" Carlisle said. We all nodded, I looked up at Seth and he wrapped his arms around me. "Seth can stay with us aswell" Esme said smiling at us.  I smiled leaned into him, "Alright but he can't sleep in Nicolletes room" Emmett said crossing his arms. We nodded and I looked at Rosalie, "I agree with Emmett but I will let you two hang out in her room." We nodded at them, Edward took Bella to his room and brought her bags with him. "He Nikki you wana play video games?" Jasper asked walking over to the t.v. I shrugged and nodded. "Well I don't really know how to play" I confessed, "That's alright I will teach you" he said. "You are playing video games at a time like this?" we looked up and saw Edward shaking his head and smiling. "Well lets just relax," he said, "we can't be tense." I looked back at the screen and realized he had chosen Halo. Jasper showed me the controls and how to fire then we were off to fight. He killed me a lot but I was able to get a lot of kills, "This is harder then I thought" I said as the screen said that he won. "You just need practice" he said smiling and setting down the controller, "I have had a lot of time to practice" he winked. "Alright Nikki let me show how a real gamer plays" Emmett said taking my controller and giving a cocky grin. I laughed and moved so Emmett was in front of the screen, the game started and I watched them both. Emmett was really good, but I saw that Jasper was more cautious with moving and shooting then Emmett. "Five bucks say Emmett wins" Edward said from behind me leaning on the couch and looking at the screen. "You're on" I say watching Jaspers screen. Jasper got shot, "Come on Jasper" I said slightly punching him, "I got five bucks on you." He laughed and shot Emmett, "There you go" I said playfully, he laughed but never took his eyes off of the screen. Seth came up and sat next to me, I held his hand and automatically leaned on him. He wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled into him. "Don't get too friendly over ther" Emmett said glancing at us. But in that glance Jasper found Emmett and killed him. The screen lit up saying Jasper won, "Hey!" Emmett shouted. "That's not fair I was distracted!" "Well next time pay attention" Jasper said leaning back and put his hands behind his head.

            We all laughed at Emmetts and Jaspers reaction. Edward sighed and reached into his pockets, "You don't need to give me five dollars" I said putting my hands up. "I made a bet and I lost" he said handing me the five dollars. I took it and smiled at him, "I want a rematch" Emmett growled and set up the game. Jasper chuckled and grabbed the controllers, 'Jasper I want to go shopping" Alice said skipping towards us. "Sorry Emmett but my lady calls" Jasper said getting up and gently kissed Alice. The sight made my heart melt, they looked so perfect with each other. Suddenly a memory came to mind, it was a video I found of my mom and dad. She was wearing a light green dress that flowed when she moved. My dad was wearing faded jeans and a dark green button up shirt, he set up the camera and my mom was laughing and giggling while he tried to settle the camera. Finally he got it right and walked over to my mom, he bowed in front of her and held out his hand. "Would you like to dance" my dad asked. My mom laughed and blushed, "But there is no music" she said.  My dad pulled out a radio an turned it on, a slow song came on and then walked back to her. "Will you dance with me?" he asked again, she blushed and nodded. She took his hand and he twirled her around the kitchen and finally placed his hand at her hip and she put her hand on his shoulder. They dance for I don't know how long, they never broke eye contact and you almost saw the light in each others eyes. When the music stopped they kept dancing, he placed both hands on her waist and pulled her clos. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned on his shoulder. My dad buried his face in her hair, "I love you" he whispered. My mom pulled back so she was facing him, "I love you" he repeated again looking into her deep chocolate brown eyes. She smiled, "I love you too" she whispered and leaned in and kissed him. I don't remember whwat happened afterward because my dad had caught me watching the video and beat me.
