Brand New Beginning

Chapter Twenty two

                 I stepped into the house and could smell some food being cooked. "Seth" I said and pulled him back, "I think I want to go home." "Is something wrong?" he asked looking me over for any scratchs or marks. "No I just don't want to be here, I want to train" I said. If I was going to fight I was going to need to train a lot. He smiled, "Ok" he said, he waved to Sam who nodded back and dragged me outside. I glared at the burn pile and followed him into the woods. He was quiet, "Seth where are you taking me?' I asked getting annoyed. "Someplace special" he said, suddenly we came up to a cave and I realized where he was taking me. This was the place where he took me on our fist date, I smiled and ran ahead of him. I heard him chuckle and soon I heard his heavy paws hitting the floor, I smirked and ran at top speed I burst into the clearing and jumped into the tree. I heard him nudge the bottom of my feet but I kicked off of him and went higher into the tree. I looked down and at it him and I saw him try and jump to reach me. "Want to practice?" I asked looking down at him, he barked and jumped back. I laughed and jumped down and got quickly got into a defensive position. He jumped and growled I growled back and charged him. He ran at me but I ducked under him and knocked leg out making him fall, "You are going to have to do better then that" I teased and started running the other way. He chased after me and I dodged him everytime. I faked a left then turned right but he expected that and hit me. I flew across the yard and fell hard, before I had time to get up he pinned me down with his paws. "Well played" I said laughing. I heard a rumble go through his chest and took that as chuckling, I pushed him off of me and sat there. He layed down and I snuggled into him, I played with his fur and decided to braid his fur. He looked back and saw what I was doing, he whined and put his head down giving me that puppy dog face. "Oh suck it up it's only braids" I said turning back and doing more braids.

          I spent the next five minutes just humming and braiding his hair. He would look back now and then and just shake his head and put it down. My mind drifted to the up coming fight, I new we were going to win. I could feel it but why couldn't I get this feeling that something was going to go wrong. I shook it off and thought about ways I could fight, I won't leave Seth. Where he fights I will fight, I looked over at him and saw that he was sleeping. I smiled to myself and undid the braids, I rested my head on his stomach and just stared up at the sky. My gut started to hurt, why do I have this feeling like something is going to happen to me. I sighed and closed my eyes, nothing is going to happen to me. My dad popped into my head, I opened my eyes and glared at the sky. I will be the one who kills him I told myself. I silently hissed and closed my eyes, a tear fell and I wiped it away. I can't let him control me this way, I looked over at Seth and stared at him for awhile. He looked so peaceful sleeping, I smiled and rubbed his fur. His eyes opened and he looked over at me, I smiled at him. He gave me an adoring look then yawned and stretched. He stood up and shook his fur, "Awww" I whined and laid on my back. He nudged me with his nose and ran off behind the bushes. I rolled over on my other side to give him privacy. I heard him started to walk towards me and I looked over and saw him coming to me. I sat up and he sat down next to me, he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. "Hey, sorry I fell asleep" he said and kissed my cheek again. I giggled and blushed, "It's fine, nice hair" I said and started flattening his hair. He chuckled and started fixing his hair, I moved his hands and fixed it myself. He chuckled and picked me up, I laughed and then he set me on his lap. I was fixing his hair when I saw that he was just looking at me. "What?" I asked putting my hands on his shoulders. "Nothing," he said staring at me like as if he looked away I could dissapear, "You are just so beautiful." I blushed and look down, he reached up and lifted my head. I looked him in the eyes and saw nothing but my whole entire future, my breathe caught in my throat. He leaned forward, our lips brushed. The moment our lips touched I felt the fireworks, I couldn't get enough of it.

                 He held me even tighter and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He held my back and we kissed for a long time. I pulled back for air and our foreheads rested against each other, "We need to practice" I said reluctantly pulling away from him. He groaned and pulled me back on top of him, I laughed and jumped up away from him. He pouted and got up aswell, "Ok we need to practice again, that was a nice break but the fight is coming up real fast" I said pulling up my sleeves. He got up and nodded, I backed away as he phased. I crouched into a fighting position and he went into a crouch aswell. I nodded and we started fighting, I ran up and grabbed his arm and spun him around making him fall. He got back up and clawed at the back of my leg making me fall where I stood. We were fairly matched, but as we were fighting I imagined three or four vampires attacking my Seth. I growled and jumped up and tackled Seth to the ground unexpectedly. Seth gave me a weird look but I was up again and ready for the next fighting session. He got up and shook his fur, I ran at him but he knew what to do and gently bite my stomach and threw me far away from him. I checked my stomach for marks but realized he used his lips to grab me. I got up and went at him again but he was ready for me again and threw me into the water. I screamed and flailed my arms, he threw me far from the shore, I swam as fast as I could to the shore and coughed up the water that I had swallowed. "Nicollete!" suddenly Seth was next to me in his human form. "Nikki I am so sorry I didn't realize the I was throwing you in the water" he said trying to help me up. "It's alright" I said standing up, but before he had time to do anything I shoved him back making him fly into the water. His head popped out of the water and he was just shocked. I started laughing, "That's for throwing me into the water!" I called out.
