Dante stood in the mirror on his closet door and looked at himself with great self confidence. He wasnt dressed for nothing special but it sure felt like it to him. School was new to Dante. People were new to Dante. And that girl, was new to Dante. He couldn't stop thinking about her. She was just so gorgeous in his eyes.

Dante took his bag and started to walk out the door of the house. Jay was asleep like Dante had expected. He had to walk to school because of that. It want like he really minded. It was just that he hoped it not snow again. He walked out his door and headed up the road to where the school was at.

About halfway up the road, Jay drove up next to him in her blue van. "Do you want me to take you to school Dante?" Jay asked. "No. Im fine with walking. Ive had to do it before, so im fine." Jay looked at Dante with a suprising disappointed look. Dante gad never seen this fave before. He was used to the evil glares and smart remarks from her. "Well, okay than. Have a good first day." Jay said witha nice, caring voice. Once Jay left Dante comtinued to walk to walk up the road.

He than made it to the school about thirty minutes after walking all that way. He walked in the doors of the school and stood there like an idiot. He was shocked of how many people were actually there. But he stopped being shocked after he saw Layla. Dante stared at her for a while. Until she turned and faced him, which made Dante speedly look away.

Dante looked around for a while after that and than headed to class. The classroom was bright but clammy. It felt like the lights were the only thing pretty about the room. And than Layla walked in. The lights weren't the prettiest anymore. Layla sat right next to Dante, but didn't say anything. He was scared to look like a fool to her.

Dante wondered why he felt like this for a girl. He never did before. But than again he never really met a girl besides the other foster kids which were now gone and adopted. But this girl was different. When the teacher walked and told everyone his name layla put a piece of paper on Dante's desk. It said Hey Dante.
