It had been a month since the killing of Files and still Dante felt the rage he did on that day. But he got away with it. An article in the newspaper told of the murder of Files. So everyone knew that he was dead. Even Layla. During the month that that past Layla and Dante became even more and more close to each other. But no matter how close they got, he could not tell of his secret.
Dante walked down the road on a weekend afternoon. It still snowed like usual. Even though it was Febuary. Christmas passed and Dante only got what Layla had given him. A small teddy bear and a necklace. Dante thought about the gifts as he walked down the snowy road. He wore the necklace everyday since Christmas and never took it off.
Suddenly Layla appeared next to Dante. Dante hugged her with great delight. "You kinda scared me by just popping up there." Dante said. They stopped next to a stop sign and started kissing. Their kisses grew more and more passionate as their relationship went on. It seemed as though they had been together forever.
Layla stopped and started to speak. "Baby?" She asked. "I want to know about the scars." It had been a while since the day she saw them. Dante honestly thought that she had forgotten. "I dont want to talk about it. Its just something i dont want to remember." Dante said. Layla looked desperately at Dante. "I just want to know what happened." She said. Dante looked at the ground, trying not to make eye contact with Layla.
He felt like Layla wouldnt quit asking if he didnt tell her. He either had to make up a lie or change the subject and tell her another time. And so he changed the subject. Not in words or conversation. But in a hug and a kiss.
That hug and kiss quickly turned into something bigger. Layla's hands were wrapped around Dante's neck as they kissed, and Dantes hands on Layla's side. Dante wanted more, and so did Layla. But at the time all they could do was kiss. They kissed for a while and ended up on the ground in the snow. It was cold but satisfying to them. Even though it was just a long and passionate kiss, Dante and Layla still had much satisfaction in it.
They got up and went towards the coffee shop. They had their talks there, and shared food with each other, and kissed each other on the cheek multiple times. They were usually the only ones there beside the coffee maker, so they didnt mind being all lovey dovey. Even though they wouldnt mind if they weren't the only ones there.
Layla didnt mention the scars the reat of the day. She was focused on Dante in another way. Their love was seemed to be most important to them at the time. After they left the coffee house, they walked to Layla's house. Right when they got there Dante starred into Layla's eyes while he held her close. "I love you Layla. More than you can possibly imagine. You are the most beutiful girl in the world to me. I love everything about you. Your beutiful hair, your beutiful eyes, everything. You are smart, sweet, funny, and i cant resist you." Dante was about to say more when Layla's parents drove up. Dante hugged Layla, and kissed her on her forehead, and went home.
