Dante woke up the next morning to hear car doors shut across the street. He looked out the window and saw that Layla was home. Like an instant, Dante got dressed and ran outside. He came up behind Layla and wrapped his arms around her. Layla got a little scared but once she saw it was Dante she immediately hugged him back. Dante felt like more of a burden was lifted off him. Like Layla was an angel from heaven. But Dante knew that he was a demon.
Dante would not let go of Layla, and Layla, him. They held each other tightly for a while and than they took a walk down the road. "So how was it?" Dante asked. "It was alright. It wouldve been better if you were there." Layla answred. Dante looked at Layla and than pushed her up against a near by tree. They started to kiss and with that kiss Dante's favorite spark came back. "I missed you." Dante said in Layla's ear. Layla grabbed him and flipped him on the tree to where she was in front of Dante. They kissed some more and after a while they walked back to Layla's house. Dante had got yet another piece of his heaven back. Dante felt like he was on top of the world in Layla's arms. It was something that was worth every second.
When they got to Layla's house, Layla had to go for a while tk talk with her parents. Dante headed back to his house and layed on his bed. Dante could be somewhat happy again. With the pain from the images gone and his lover back, Dante could rest easy tonight. But a few minutes later there was a knock on his door. It was Layla. Than Dante remebered his mom. He thought that he should introduce her to Layla. So thats exactly what he would do. He took Layla's hand and headed towards where Eva was staying.
When they got to his mom's house he told Layla what had happened and where his mom was and came from. "Oh my god Dante! I want to meet her!" Layla said when Dante was done explaining. Dante knocked on the door and his mom came out. Her black hair was up in a pony tail and she had a beutiful blue dress on. "Hey mom." Dante said as he hugged his mother. "I want to introduce you to somebody." He put his arm around Layla and gestured her forward. Layla smiled at Eva and waved. "Well who is this lovely young lady?" Eva said. "Mom, this is Layla. My girlfriend." Dante said. Eva smiled at Layla and Layla smiled back. "Well she is very pretty Dante. I wish i couldve met her sooner." Eva said
Dante and Layla talked with Eva for a bit and than headed back home. "Do you think she likes me?" Layla asked worryingly. "Of course she does. Whats not to like?" Dante answered. As they walked home, clouds fell upon the sky and a hint of darkness fell upon the town. Dante hurried and took Layla home. They kissed goodbye and Dante headed home. Snow fell from the sky and a blizzard was made. As Dante layed on his bed he heard a ringing sound come from beside him. It wasnt Arno this time but a different Catalyst. "Your next target has been found. Head towards town square and enter house 421." The Catalyst disappeared and Dante felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.
As Dante got ready to go his head started to feel woozy. He shook himself violently and kept getting ready. As he walked outside the blizzard gave his cheeks frostbite instantly. While he kept trudging through the blizzard to town square, his sense kept going off and on. Like something was going on with his head which wasnt his mother. As he got to town square he saw the house 421 he climbed through a window into a bedroom. In the bed was a man that he had never even seen before.
He took his knife out and he felt a sharp pain in his chest. "Daaanteee." His knife said. He ignored it and got ready to kill. He kept feeling a pain in his chest and head but kept ignoring it. He than shoved his knife into the chest of the man. Dante felt a shock go through his body and his sense was going crazy. He saw whit figures everywhere and than he was back in the room.
Laying on the bed was not a man. It wasnt his target. It wasnt someone he had wished to kill. Dante looked a t the body and his mouth dropped. Tears fell from his eyes and he took the knife and threw it across the room. The blizzard came in through the window as Dante layed his head on the body and cried and screamed. The body was not of a man but of a woman. And this woman was his mom. Eva was dead.
