Dante lay awake in his bed. The clock read 11:30. It was getting late and Dante could not even get a small time of sleep. His mind was cluttered with so many things. Layla, his scars, Files, The Catalysts. It all piled up in Dante's mind. As he stared at thw ceiling he began to hear a small ringing sound. Like the sound he heard when the door had appeared.
Though this time it wasnt the door to room 555. It was his closet door. He got up looking at it just to make sure he wasnt being messed with. He reached at the door knob and twisted it slowly. When he opened the door there was nothing. Nothing but complete darkness. Than Dante heard something. "Find him. Kill him." These words were spoken from the darkness in that same whisper from room 555. "Kill who?" Dante asked. "Damian." the voice said.
Dante instantly knew who it was. It was like a moment of deja vu for him. Damian Jackson. The mayor. It seemed like an esspecially large task for something so late at night. But he couldnt refuse. He put on the black hoodie and grabbed his knife and started his way towards the mayors house. Since the distance was great he grabbed his bike and went on his way. After about 25 minutes of peddling non stop he was at the mayors house. Dante couldnt just walk in the front door this time. He had to find another way.
Soon enough Dante did. There was a balcony door up high. What was most interesting was that the balcony led right into the mayors room. With the knife in his pocket he started to climb his way up to the balcony. He fell once but tried again. He was up on the balcony in no time. With his training in lockpicking Dante soon enough opened the door.
The clock in the mayor's room read 11:59. Dante made his way to where the mayor was laying. No one esle was with him suprisingly. Not even his wife. Dante slowly crept to the side of the bed and took out his knife. He than put the knife against the mayor's throat. Dante looked at him for a second. But like ripping off a bandaid Dante slit the mayor's throat. Blood ran off the side off the bed where he mayor lay. The mayor didnt wake up. Didnt say a word.
"Im sorry." Dante said. This time Dante didnt feel rage. He felt guilt. The mayor didnt speak to him like Files did. Dante couldve just murdered an innocent man, and he wouldn't know of his victims purpose. Dante grabbed a blanket and put it over the mayor. The clock struck midnight and like a ghost Dante had left.
He rode back home on his bike when another flash went through his mind. This one he felt pain. The image that he saw was of the woman holding a baby, and the woman got shot. Dant fell to the ground in pain. He couldnt get up. But he had to get back home. So Dante grabbed his bike and made his way towards his house.
When he got there Dante layed on his bed, and fell asleep.
