Dante awoke from his slumber. He looked down at the knife wound and breathed out in releif. It mustve just missed his heart. He still felt a little pain but not enough to complain about. Dante got up and took the hoodie off. It was morning and everyone could see him if he just walked out there with the hoodie. He tied the hoodie around his waste and came out of the brush into the light. The light blinded him for a second or two but soon he could see clearly.
Dante started walking towards his house down the road when he heard a loud scream coming from the house around the corner. It was the journalists house. Dante remembered what he had done last night and quickly started running toward his house. When he got there it was empty. Jay wasnt there. Nobody was. "Good." Dante said. Jay worked most of the time so he really had nothing to worry about besides Layla. He went into the bathroom and cleaned up his wound and put a real bandage over it. The releif of this was like heaven to Dante. Than he heard a knock on the front door. Dante walked down stairs and saw that it was Layla.
He opened the door slowly. Once fully opened he hugged Layla like he hadnt seen her in forever. Layla hugged him back and kissed him on the cheek. "Did i wake you sleepy head?" She asked. "Nah. Ive been up for a while now." Dante answered. Layla soon noticed the outline of the bandage under Dante's shirt. She lifted his shirt up to find it and saw the wound when she lifted th bandage up. Dante looked down at the ground. Layla was in shock. She couldnt say anything and just backed away while covering her mouth with her long jacket sleeves.
"Dante...." Layla said. "What....happened to you?" Tears came from Layla's eyes as she asked him that question. Dante stood silent. "Why wont you tell me?" Layla asked. "Dont you trust me?" An urge came to Dante's mind. He wanted to tell her everything but instead just hugged Layla and started to kiss her. Layla tried to push him away so she could continue asking questions, but she couldn't resist Dante's unique taste.
Dante than smiled at her. "Maybe one day i could tell you. But for now just dont worry about it." Dante said. Layla gave Dante a look of desperation and curiosity. But she fiannly decided to just say okay. "Im still gonna worry though." Layla said. "You can keep your secret for now but soon youll tell me. Right?" Layla wrapped her arms around Dante's neck and kissed him. Dante pulled her in his house and pushed her up against the wall.
Like every other kiss they had, passion glowed in this one. Dante kissed Layla's neck and bit it a little. Layla enjoyed this greatly, for Dante had heard her breath out a small moan. Dante than heard a small ringing sound from upstairs. He knew what it meant and soon finished up with Layla. "I have to get ready for something. Jay will be here to pick me up later on." Dante said. "Can't we go a little bit further baby?" Layla said desperately. "No. Im sorry babe. I have to get ready." Layla made a small pouty face like a three year old would. Dante hugged her and kissed her on the forehead goodbye. After she was gone he headed upstairs to find nothing but his empty room with no sign of the Catalysts.
