Chapter40: TLC's Turn To Help

TLC's POV (Lisa)
Man it's been and interesting month since my girl Roberta was in the accident I swear people in LA don't have no respect like now she can't even remember who we are. It's not just about us but her best friend wants her best friend back and she looked at that girl and couldn't even remember who she was it was sad. I would've been distraught if one of my girls who I call my best friends more like sisters forgot about me totally. I feel more like a sister to Roberta because that's how she treats me. I remember when we first talked about where we are from and our birthdays. I almost jumped through the roof when she said her birthday is a day after mines. Gemini's!!!! Hahahahaha. Or when she said that she is from New York City. Meaning we are both from up north hahahahaha. I remember when she sent her jet to come to Atlanta and come get us. I was in awe by walking into her house. We didn't want to leave really. She promised that as a gift for getting triple platinum on our second album CrazySexyCool she would send her jet back to come get us. She likes making pebbles mad but I like it all 100% . She gets the job done. Like we have two original dances that will always be engraved in history. Me and my girls have been at her house since last month we gave her welcome home celebration. She was deeply touched. She has 12 rooms in her house I promise this is a castle to me hahahahaha. We also have been seeing a lot of Michael . I wonder why but then again his parents... Yes... The Jackson family house is down the street from here. They have been here as well to see her. I wonder what they relationship was like as well. It seems like she is family. I'll let Michael one day tell me what happened. Her mom is staying here too along with her her best friend but it's back and forth with meme because she is pregnant so she has to be home but she doesn't care because her best friend needs her. Right now we are in her room chilling in her bed she told us that we are welcome to everything just clean up behind ourselves. They gave her medicine for the pain. Her ankle is heeled she just keeps a brace on it because she sprained it pretty bad during the accident. The medicine has her sleep most of the day and I understand. But when she is up it's so much fun because slowly but surely she is coming back to us. Today we are going to try to get her to remember us the group. She is really a amazing person. I hope we get something accomplished....

T-Boz's POV
Man this house is dope. She worked hard to keep this house looking amazing. We went into her gallery hall and I was blown away at all the memories in there. She wasn't lying about her and Michael's relationship. They have pictures on the wall a lot of them it's super cute especially the ones from when she was a kid. Her hair was long it still is. Today me and my girls are going to try to get her to remember us. So far she is coming around slowly though. She still calls us by our government name. we want to try to help the best we can. Right now she is sleeping and I'm in her comfortable chair watching TV. Reflecting on the last four years. It's been a crazy ride and we are still riding. Roberta has been the best I promise. She is like a big sister I never had seeing that I'm the oldest out of me and my brother. She is originally our choreographer but she treats us like her sisters. We always have a blast. She really reminds me of Lisa though because their both Gemini's. Meaning whenever is four get together it's always trouble... Always hahahahaha let me get back to my show...

Chilli's POV
Man she was engaged to my husband. I feel some type of way. I don't hate her I'm just jealous a bit. I'm in her gallery hall. And looking at pictures of when she was a kid, teenager, and early adult. She was beautiful with her cute ponytails. Then I see her with Michael and his brother on soul train. I watched that episode and to see her on there with him made me sad. When she first worked with us I knew she was familiar as I'm looking at her pictures I knew she look familiar she was my idol. To know I work with my idol is a blessing. When we are at work she is a different person. She is a dare devil. Like pebbles would tell us to do something and she would tell pebbles that's not a good idea and pebbles would get so mad. She is a true friend, and she is like a sister that's why I'm down for her on this road to getting her memory back. Everybody is hurt by it. Especially Michael . So today it's our turn to get her to remember us.

Three hours later...

Roberta's POV
I woke up with my TV on and three people in my room sleeping on my bed. I didn't know my bed is that big or maybe I'm just that small. They look so peacefull . Tionne, Lisa and Rozonda they have been here since I got home from the hospital. They leave from time to time to meet with their manager. They really wante to remember them. I remember them by playing their music and dancing to it. However I don't remember the dances I made to the song. I remember the words to some of the songs. As I'm thinking I got out of bed without waking up the girls. They said I use to call them that . We are very good friends. I did my hygiene stuff and went to my closet and pulled out my red pants, and put on a black Tshirt . I went downstairs and went into my exercise room. everything look foreign to me still. However I am improving so I know what to do on my equipment. I work out and my body needed it. I am now eating a banana and about to go take a shower... I get upstairs and see that the girls are are up talking.
Me: hey girls
Girls: hey how are you feeling
Me: I'm feeling OK. I just came from my exercise room.
Chilli : you have that
Me: yeah why. . You wanna workout
Chilli : yeah I would love to and besides I have to keep my abs in check
Me: I hear that.
Chilli: I am trying to get like you.
Me: it takes a lot of work so are you ready for all that?
Chilli : hell yes hahahahaha.

She went downstairs and started working out while I jumped in the shower. I got out and wrapped my hair in a towel and dried off and went to my closet and decided to get cute I guess. I put on my overalls and a white fitted T-shirt and fixed my suspenders . I put on my colorful socks and blew dried my hair and put it in a half up and half down hairstyle. I was looking in my jewelry box and came across a teddy bear necklace and teddy bear ring. Then I saw a gold and emerald bracelet and necklace with my initials engraved in it. I decided to wear the teddy bear necklace and teddy bear ring. I applied my jewelry on and decided to play in my makeup and by the way my bathroom is just as pretty haha. I did my eye liner and mascara. When I came out of my bathroom and entered my room to see nobody in there. Weird. I was about to walk out my room when I heard music being played so I followed the music.

T-Boz's POV
While she got herself together me and the girls decided to go to her dance studio. We get down here and of course Lisa wants something to eat. So we wait for her in the dance studio. I'm looking on her walls and of course she has pictures of artists who are really dear to her. She has Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, The DeBarge, Switch, Gladys knight and the pips, then I see a photo of us in 1992 . Awww we really mean a lot to her. I'm so busy admiring the pictures on the wall that I am tooken by surprise when I hear our song waterfalls start to play. So I start singing..
Me: A lonely mother gazing out of the window staring at her son that she just can't touch, any time he's in a jam she stayed by his side but he doesn't realize he hurts her so much, so he goes out and he makes his money the best way he knows how another body laying cold in the gutter, listen to me.

Then something amazing happens... Roberta started singing..

Roberta : Don't go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're use to, I know that your gonna have it your way or nothing at all, but I think you're moving too fast.
We was so blown away that we just watched her as she had her eyes closed and was swaying back and forth. We was scared too because we didn't want her to have a big headache but she was really feeling the song. When it was Lisa's part came we all gasped because she was rapping right along with Lisa.
Roberta : I seen a rainbow yesterday, but too many storms have come and gone leaving a not a trace, of what god has given, ray is it because my life is ten shades of grey, I pray all ten fade away, seldom Prases, for the sunny days, but like his promise is true what only my faith can I do,....

When the song ended we all clapped and she opened her eyes like she was caught doing something wrong.

Roberta : y'all heard that?
Lisa : yo you killed it
T-Boz : that's my best friend
Chilli: we got our sister back.
Roberta: Awww guys. I love y'all more. Let's see what else we could do

We continued to help her. By the end of the day she progressed a lot. But we are going to hold off the dances. She remembers us and our friendship and other important things. So far she remembers her name, and others name as far as the relationship between us and others is still foreign to her. We are still working on it. Later on today we had worked enough and Sarah made dinner and we cleaned up and called it a night. Proud of our accomplishments of the day.

I'm proud of her...
