Chapter 43:Telling Everyone

Michael's POV
Today is the day we tell our friends and family about our big day. I decided that me and her will tell my parents together. I'm telling my siblings and hopefully they respect my wishes and don't tell mother and Joseph yet. Roberta is telling her mother, Maleigha, the girls, and Sarah and Malissa. This should be interesting.

Roberta's POV
Today should be interesting. I have to share the greatest news in my life to my family, friends, staff and Sarah and Malissa. I'm super nervous because I don't know what to expect. I'm thinking I should take them to lunch or should I tell them individually. I dont know yet so for now I'm getting ready for the day by just jumping out the shower and putting on lotion and black lace panty and bra. I made up my bed and went to my closet and decided on doing something more appropriate for the weather by putting on a black sweater dress with black with a hoodie and pockets in the front and orange stockings . I decided to wear black knee high boots that zip up on the inside. I flat ironed my hair and put my make up and jewelry on including my beautiful engagement ring. I can't believe it's actually going to happen. This seems like a dream or that it's to good to be true. I just hope that my feelings can be pushed down and this can actually happen without any interruptions. I just hope and wish...
An hour later and I have come to a decision. I'm going to invite meme, the girls, Malissa and Sarah to a lunch at my house and because my mom is hours away and states away as well I'm going to call her first.
Me:hey mommy how are you?
Mommy: hey baby I'm doing good. How are you doing?
Me: that's good and I could be never be better . What are you doing?
Mommy: that's good to hear. I'm getting prepared for the fall. What are you up to?
Me: you need to come and decorate my house for the fall hahaha. I'm getting ready to tell you the biggest thing in my life.
Mommy: I am when I get a chance and what is it? You aren't pregnant are you?!
Me: I'll be waiting and no I can't do that without getting married?
Mommy: right right so if you're not pregnant then what so big
Me: be prepared to cry because........... I'm getting married!!!!!
Mommy: girl shut up!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you serious?!?!? When did this happened?
Me: yes I'm serious and I got engaged yesterday.
Mommy: who wants to make you their wife this time?
Me: hahaha well you know who
Mommy: it better be Michael because I wouldn't be happy to know you don't want him anymore.
Me: Awww I'll tell him that you actually like him and I'm glad it's him because he really would like to be your son in law too.
Mommy: Yay!!!!! I'm so happy for you two. When is the wedding?? Who do you have to plan and decorate?
Me: thank you mom and don't cry I can hear it in your voice. Umm we haven't decided yet but I really want you to decorate and plan this one. If that isn't a problem.
Mommy: well you know me too well and I'm crying tears of joy because my baby girl is getting married. This doesn't happen everyday baby. It really doesn't and I would be happy to decorate and plan your wedding. Discuss it over with Michael and get back to me and I'll be there as soon as possible. OK baby
Me: *starts crying * thank you mommy and yeah I'll discuss it with him and I love you mommy. Mommy: why are you crying and I love you too
Me: because I really want this to go through this happened last time. I got engaged before he went on his BAD World Tour but it didn't go through due to infidelity and I don't want nothing to be the reason why I don't walk down the aisle. I do mean nothing.
Mommy: Awww honey I know but it's been seven years since that happened. You have to let go of that and trust that it's happening again. I'll make sure this is best wedding you ever had in your life. I love you too baby . I got to go call me later.
Me: thank you mommy. Call me later and talk to you later.
Mommy: OK baby
After cleaning my face and reapplying my make up. I went down stairs to the dinning room and made sure everything was set up. I called everyone and told them to come over I even decided to make the load lighter by telling Michael to bring his mother and father and siblings over for lunch. They should be here soon. This is going to be good. I can feel it .

Michael's POV
I just finish calling Janet and Randy. To let them know that they can meet me at roberta house. By now my parents should be there . I'm on my way there and some of my siblings should be there too. This is going to be a interesting lunch.
I am now walking inside and I already smell lunch which makes my stomach growl . I also hear voices and out of all of them I hear Roberta. That's the best voice I've heard all day. I walked in and was immediately greeted by my family so I sat down next to roberta and Janet. I get comfortable, taking off my sweater and advisors
Me: hello everybody how y'all doing
Marlon:good bro Hbu
Jermaine: we're doing good
Tito :good
Randy:we fine. What's up with you
Jackie: good Mike good
Janet: yeah Mike we are doing fine
Me: that's good to know. How about you mother and Joseph
Mother: baby we are doing good. How have you been it's been a while since we seen you.
Me: busy as always but I can't complain I love what I do but it's so good to see everyone. Especially for what is about to be shared today.
Mother: well it's always good to see you. What are you going to share with us.
Marlon: yeah Mike what's up
Me: well yesterday I came to a decision that I feel like its the best. I've been racking my brain for two months about what I want and I haven't been so sure in my entire life about what I want and yesterday I made what I want mine officially yesterday afternoon.
Jermaine: what did you do?
Me: let's just say that in three weeks I'm marrying this pretty young thing *holds up Roberta's left hand * . I got what I want finally to myself.
When I say everybody had a mind blowing emotions. Mother started crying, Joesph was quiet surprisingly my brothers started hollering like animals, Janet and rebbie started clapping and crying.
Me: wow
My brothers : go ahead Mike!!!! Congrats bro
My sisters: Awww congrats you two
Mother: I knew this day will come Awww I'm happy for you too. I can't wait to have you as a daughter in law.
Joesph : that's wonderful. I hope you kids know what y'all doing
Mother: their not kids anymore Joe their grown adults meaning that they know what they want and what they are doing. All we can do now as parents is respect their wishes. And be there when they need us. I'm happy for you two I really am and so is Joesph.
Me: thanks mother.
Roberta: thank you all for the wishes. We would be more than happy to have you all in our wedding.
Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, randy: Awww that's sweet. I'm sire we wouldn't mind being in your wedding.
Rebbie, janet: that's sweet.
TLC :Awww snap girl. That's sweet congrats and we would be more than happy to be in your wedding.
Sarah: I'm proud of you two. I'm all for it.
Malissa : me too. Congrats.
So after getting everyone's approval we finished eating and talked about what we wanted for the wedding. Roberta said her mother who is a interior designer would plan and design our wedding with the help of some others. I'm glad this went smoothly. I really am.

Roberta's POV
Today went so surprisingly well that I'm still smiling sitting in my vanity table in my bathroom. I'm grinning so hard that my cheeks hurt. As I'm taking off my make up and getting ready for bed I can't help but stare at my beautiful ring and thank god that it's happening and that he gave me a second chance at life so I can experience event like this and the ones that is to come. I come out of the bathroom and stare at the beautiful man sleeping in my bed. He is all I ever wanted and more. Or as Whitney said he is all the man that I need. I climb in bed and turn off my lights and let the light from the TV shine. I turn around to my love and kiss him on his cheek. Whispering goodnight before closing my eyes.
