We danced and kissed for a while longer, before my rumbling stomach interrupted us.

Shane laughed. "Want some food?" He asked me, before pulling be to the blanket and producing a pile of sandwiches from the basket.

"I didn't know what type you liked, so I brought a bit of everything to find out." He said with a grin.

I looked at them and counted that there were over a dozen types of sandwhiches.

"Well I don't like egg," I stated.

Shane put the egg and onion sandwiches back. "Me neither."

"Or fish." He put the tuna sandwhich away.

"And I think I like everything else." I told him.

Shane clapped his hands together. "What is your favourite one then?"

I looked at them, then said "Chicken tikka."

He grinned and pumped his fist in the air. "Me too! It's a good thing I made double of those."

We spent the rest of the evening talking about our favourite foods and getting to know each other a bit better.

Before the end of the night, when the sun had started to set and you really appreciated the candles, Shane turned round to me and fished something out of the bottom of the basket.

He took my hand in his. "Lilly, I know we've only met, but I already love you more than words can explain. You are my life now and I never want to loose you. You wear my marks, and I can't wait until we complete the blood rights so you wear my other mark. But I want everyone to know that we are together, not just wolves, but humans too. So, not now, but someday, will you marry me?" Shane said, opening a little black box and producing a platinum ring with four diamonds embedded across it. It had an engraving on the inside saying 'forever' too. It was perfect.

I realised I had been staring at the ring for too long and judging by his fast heart rate, Shane was nervous waiting for my response. I looked up into his face and said "Of course."

Shane slipped the ring onto my finger and grinned while doing so "Mrs Lilly Densil." He said, trying out the name before bringing his lips to mine once more.

The rest of the week passed by quite quickly.

Shane met me outside school every day to take me home. He'd even met Lindsey and Becca, they insisted of course.

He had earned both of their approval.

No one had yet seen my ring. We decided that if a member from my pack were to see it, they might tell my father. So instead of wearing it on my hand, I wore it on a chain around my neck. Having it with me at all times meant a lot to me.

Shane was getting on better with Logan as well. They tended to argue about things, but that was just to show who was more dominant. There had been no full on fights so far.

Friday rolled around and I found myself fidgeting in my seat during last period. What could my dad want that couldn't wait until tomorrow?

Shane was waiting for me at the end of school as usual. "Hey, what's wrong?"

I shrugged and went to hug him. "In just nervous, that's all."

"My offer still stands you know."

Shane told me.

I sighed and stepped out of his embrace when I saw Logan exit the school and make his way towards us.

"You know I'd love you to, but my father would not appreciate another alpha on his teratory."

Shane nodded. "I understand. But hurry back to me, ok?"

He said before giving me a kiss and one last hopeful look as I got into Logan's car.

When we arrived at the house, I saw Chris and Nathan standing at the door. They were my fathers best fighting members of the pack.

"Hey guys." I said, smiling at them.

They both gave me a tense nod in response. Both were wearing a grim expression on their faces.

Logan and I went to enter the house. Nathan blocked him.

"Sorry, Logan but the Alpha says you aren't to come in."

"Why the hell not?" He asked suspiciously.

Chris sighed. "He says you are too involved."

Just then, Chris put copper chains around my wrist. This stops us from shifting, but doesn't harm us like silver would.

"Hey!" I exclaimed.

I looked over to see two other members of the packs fighting division restraining Logan.

"Lilly!" He shouted.

"Don't tell him yet!" I warned him, knowing that he would know I meant Shane.

Logan nodded, while still trying to fight off his restraints.

Nathan took one arm and Chris took my other. They both looked pained.

"Lilly, I'm so sorry." Chris said. "I would never have agreed to this, but the Alpha threatened Lindsey."

I nodded, understanding. "Becca would kill me if she knew I was doing this too, but I can't lose her." Nathan said sadly.

I stayed silent until we reached my fathers office.

When we entered, he sat at his desk, smoking a cigar. Rich bastard.

"Ah, Lilly, my daughter its good to see you." He said.

"Oh cut the bullshit. What do you want." I asked him.

Chris squeezed my arm gently, telling me to watch my tone.

"Well, the Alpha of the Moonsand Pack in Texas had sent a message out to all Alpha's in the world asking for them to present an unmated female who would be able to rule a pack with him."

I didn't like the sound of this. "He has waited for almost thirty years on his mate and his pack are getting restless. He thinks without a mate to help him, someone will try and overthrow him."

My father came around to sit on his desk.

"I sent your profile and since you are an unmated, strong daughter of an Alpha, he has chosen you. And he is here to collect."

*A/N* wow...I've been wanting to write this chapter for ages and now look, there it is! I actually had chills when writing it. Hope yous liked it!
