Shane sat down on the bed in Jenna's room and pulled me onto his lap.
"God, I missed you," He said as he wrapped his arms around me.
I inhaled his scent and immediately my wolf was calm, and I was too. This is how it should be. I shouldn't be worrying that tomorrow I could lose my mate and end up in a living hell, or worse, it could be a repeat of what happened to Dom and Sasha.
"Shh Lilly, I meant what I said earlier. But I want you to know that I am as scared about this as you are." I looked at him. "Yes Lilly, even us big bad wolves can get scared sometimes. I'm scared of you getting hurt, but even worse, I'm scared of losing you."
I twisted around and put a hand on either side of his face. "Shane, you will never lose me. I am yours now, and I will be forever. Never doubt that."
Shane sighed in relief. "That's exactly what my wolf needed to hear. Thank you Luna."
We lay in each others arms for the next two hours, comforting each other as only mates could.
