As I sat cuddling up to my mate on our flight to Australia, I looked across the aisle to see all my friends doing the same.
Before we took off, Lindsey took me aside and said that she told Chris about it. He was overjoyed although he did make her take a test to be sure.
When it came back positive, she said he cried. I giggled slightly at this. Who would have known one of the packs best fighters would cry?
If Chris was protective of his mate before, it was nothing compared to what he was like now, and it would only get worse. It was like his arm was glued to her waist and he growled at any guy coming near her.
This was going to be a long six weeks.
I'd already started to imagine what our children would be like. Would they have Shane's eyes and my nose? Or my eyes and Shane's hair?
I heard Shane chuckle beside me. 'You're getting a bit ahead of yourself aren't you? We only bonded yesterday.' I turned around to him and fixed him with a glare.
'Just gearing myself up for the future,' I teased.
'Well,' He replied, pulling me in closer to him. 'that just means we'll have to get lots of practice then won't we?'
I smirked at his coy suggestion. Of course he would say something like that.
I was glad there was only us and our close friends on this flight, everyone could just take the time to relax. And no one saw us as Alpha's on this flight, we were treated like friends, like equals.
Kicking off my shoes and snuggling in closer to Shane, I rested my head on his chest as he put his arm around me.
Finally, we were on our way to our future, together with our friends. And we were all happy.
