Sitting behind my fathers old desk, Dylan looked like the Alpha that he was, not just my father-in-law, so to speak.

When we were all seated in front him, he turned to Logan.

"Logan, I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but I will inform you anyway. The previous Alpha of this pack left it to be run by his last heir, Lilly, and her mate. It also states that you are to run it until she is bonded."

"Yes, sir." Logan responded.

"Although, her father never took into consideration that in order to be mated to Lilly, her mate would need to have Alpha qualities, therefore making him an Alpha of another pack. So now, we are left with a problem. It would be unfair to ask either pack to leave their lives and move across the world to join the packs together, although I wouldn't want to take Lilly away from her packmates and friends."

He looked to me. "Although I have no doubt that your pack would join the Densil pack if you asked them, it is up to you to decide."

"Who says Lilly has to move to our pack?" Shane asked his father. "I'm pretty sure our pack would follow where I go, too."

"That might be son, but would you really want to ask them to pack up their lives and leave, to move over here?" Dylan replied.

Shane couldn't answer. Of course he wouldn't ask them, just like I couldn't ask mine to do that for me.

"So what do you suggest?" I asked him.

"I say our best option is for you and Shane to bond, then take over the Densil pack, as is to be expected of you."

"And what about the Northern Pack? They expect their Luna to bond and take over her pack." Logan said.

"Logan, as beta, you are rightfully the next in line to become Alpha of this pack. Shane has told me how strong you are and that your pack listens to you. I think this is the wisest move for us." Dylan said.

Logan looked to me. "Is this what you want Lilly?"

I didn't want to leave my pack, but I couldn't take Shane away from his either. "I want to be with Shane, and if that means I have to move to Australia, so be it. Of course I don't want to leave my pack, but what other choices do we have?"

Logan was silent for a minute, clearly thinking. "We will ask the pack who wants to be with you and Shane. It will be up to them which pack they decided to join. But it will also be made clear that they will always have a home here with the northern Pack."

I looked up at Dylan. "Would that be ok?"

"Lilly, you are my son's mate, soon to be my daughter. The pack will be yours, you don't need my permission about this. Although, in the future, it may be wise to talk to Shane about it too." He said with a wink.

Before I could say anything to Shane, he held his hand up. "Yes I agree with it, and no, I don't mind. Whatever makes you happy, I'm ok with it."

I smiled. 'I love you,' I told him.

He chuckled in my mind. 'I love you too.'

"Well, now that's settled, I suppose the next step is to call a pack meeting?" Logan asked.
