His Bandmate

Chapter 13

Mia's P.O.V
Tonight was Liam's New Years Eve party. Louis said he would be here around 9 to pick me up.

I had texted Sophie asking her what I should wear. She replied saying that she was going to wear a dress, so I decided on a short black dress. I had curled my hair and put the sides up. I had my makeup done, and was putting on my jewelry.

I looked at the clock and it was 8:50. I put on my shoes, and waited for Louis to arrive.

Around 8:55 there was a knock on the door. I stood up and checked myself in the mirror, making sure I looked okay. I walked towards the door and opened it, to be faced by Louis. Louis was wearing black skinny jeans, a white shirt, and a jacket. I looked up to Louis eyes to seem them wide looking me up and down.

"Y-you look great." Louis said looking in my eyes.

"Thanks! You look great too." I said with a smile.

"You ready to go?" He asked.

"Yea." I said, walking out the door shutting it behind me. Louis grabbed my hand entangling his fingers with mine, making butterflies erupt in my stomach. We walked down the stairs to Louis car. Louis opened the door for me, and I thanked him while getting in. Louis ran over to his side and got in the car before heading to Liam's house.

When we pulled up to Liam's house and it was pretty crowded. Louis put his hand on my back, and led me inside. When we walked in there was about 30 people standing in Liam's living room. Some said hi to Louis as we passed them.

"Mia!" I turned to see Sophie waving at me. I smiled and told Louis I was going over to her.

"Hi Soph!" I said with a smile. She gave me a hug, which I hugged her back. She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the kitchen which surprisingly only a couple people were in there. She turned to face me and gave me an excited look.

"What?" I asked, laughing.

"What happened on you and Louis date!?" She asked me.

"Oh nothing really. He just picked me up from school, and we went over back to his house. We had Chinese while watching a movie then I fell asleep." I said.

"He didn't kiss you?" She asked with a frown.

"No, we're aren't that comfortable around each other yet. I don't even know if he wants to go on another date." I said.

"Oh trust me he does!" She said with a smirk. My cheeks turned bright red, and we both went quiet when someone walked into the kitchen. We waited for them to leave before continuing our conversation.

"Has he said anything about me?" I asked her.

"Yea, he hasn't shut up about you." She said. I smiled and looked down at my feet.

"So what have you been up to lately?" I asked her.

"Nothing really. I've went to a few of Liam's interviews, and to the studio a couple times. But I haven't been that busy." She said.

"What about you. What have you been doing when you're not with lover boy." She asked. I gave her a glare and she just laughed.

"I've just been going to school and work. I had to pick up a couple more hours at work, so I've been pretty busy. Then my mom's been bugging me lately, so I've just been tired and aggravated lately." I said.

"Well if you ever need anything just let me or Louis know." She said.

"Thanks," I said. She gave me a smile then asked if I wanted anything to drink. I said I was fine, so she poured herself her own drink.

We went out to the living room and started talking to some friends of Sophie's. She introduced me to them, and they were very nice. After talking to them for a little while, I told Sophie I was going to go get some air.

I went out to the patio, and leaned against the railing that overlooked the city. If you told me two months ago that I would be hanging around One Direction, I probably would have laughed at you.

I felt someone come beside me, and I looked over to see Louis next to me.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Yea, I just needed some fresh air." I said. He nodded his head and we sat in silence. I felt a hand move over mine, and I looked to see Louis hand on top of mine. I looked at Louis and he had a small grin on his face. I smiled and looked ahead of us.

I started to hear counting down, and when they reached one fireworks started to go off in the distance. I turned towards Louis to wish him happy New Years.

When I looked at Louis, before I could even think his lips were on mine. I was in shock before I started kissing him back. Louis wrapped his arms around my waist, and I put my arms around his neck. When Louis and I pulled apart, I smiled and looked down.

"Happy New Years." Louis whispered in my ear.
