Chapter 41

Mia's P.O.V

Today was the day Louis and I were going to see my mom. I was nervous of what she would say, and how Louis would handle it.

"Are you ready?" Louis asked me.

"Do I look ok?" I asked. Louis walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You look beautiful." He said, giving me a soft kiss on the lips.

"Thank you." I said with a smile. I put on my shoes, and Louis and I went down to the taxi that was waiting for us.

Louis must have sensed my nervousness because he combined our hands, and squeezed my hand giving me a sweet smile.

"Stop worrying." He whispered. I just nodded, and he ran his thumb over my knuckles.

The taxi pulled up to my dads house, so Louis and I stepped out walking up to the door. I knocked and my dad answered.

"Hi Louis, hi sweetie." He said welcoming us inside.

"Hi dad is mom here yet?" I asked him.

"Yea she's in the kitchen." I nodded and Louis put his hand on my back leading me in the kitchen. I saw my mom when I walked in, and I walked up to her giving her a hug.

"It's been so long since I've seen you!" My mom said hugging me.

"I know I missed you." I said with a smile. Her eyes wandered over to Louis, and he stepped forward introducing herself.

"Hi nice to you meet you, I'm Louis." Louis said holding his hand out for her to shake. She took his hand and shook it.

"Nice to meet you Louis." She said.

"Why don't you two go in the other room, and wait while we finish up everything in here." My dad said. I nodded and we went into the living room.

"She's not that bad!" Louis whispered.

"Just wait, you'll see." I said. Louis chuckled and I laid my head on Louis shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my waist, and kissed my forehead.

"The foods ready!" My dad yelled. Louis pulled me up from the couch, and we went to the kitchen table. Louis pulled out my chair for me and I thanked him before sitting down.

"So how far along are you?" My mom asked me as we began eating.

"A month." I answered.

"Louis are you excited for the baby to arrive?" My mom asked.

"Yes ma'am, I'm very excited." He answered confidently.

My mom nodded and looked down at her plate, before looking back up at us.

"So Mia I heard that you quit your job, and college. How are you planning on affording the expenses for the baby?" My mom asked.

"Louis and I agreed that I would stay home and take care of the baby. Louis makes enough money to take care of us." I said.

"Oh yes I heard that you are famous." My mom said looking at Louis. Louis have her a nod with a smile, and she looked at me for a couple of minutes like she was studying me.

"So Mia what are you going to do if Louis leaves you for someone better. I mean he's famous, and he could have almost any girl he wanted so why would he stay with you? Then what you're going to have a baby to take care of, and yourself." My mom said with raised eyebrows, and a small smirk. I looked at Louis to see him looking down at his plate with an upset expression on his face. My dad was glaring at my mom like he was getting ready to kick her out of his house.
