Chapter 47

Mia's P.O.V

I woke up excited knowing that we get to find out the gender today. I jumped out of bed getting ready, and cooking Louis and I breakfast.

I was by the stove making eggs when Louis wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled, and he kissed my cheek.

"Today's the day love." He said putting his hands on my belly.

"I'm nervous, and excited." I said with a small laugh. I handed Louis his plate and he thanked me. Louis quickly ate, and went to our room to get ready.

I made sure I had everything ready, and when Louis came back into the kitchen we went out to his car. We headed to the hospital and I was getting anxious. I can't believe we were going to find out what we were expecting.

We arrived at the doctors and Louis took my hand. We went to the receptionist checking in, and she told us to have a seat. Louis was bouncing his leg up and down, and I squeezed his hand giving him a soft smile.

"Mia?" The nurse called my name. Louis followed me back, and the nurse led me over to the wall weighing me in. I always hated getting weighed in. It was just embarrassing having Louis see how much I weighed, and I was starting to get big and had stretch marks appearing.

"Ok follow me." The nurse said. She took us to a room, and told me that someone would be back here shortly. I took a deep breath letting out my nervousness.

"You okay?" Louis said rubbing my back.

"Yea I'm just really nervous." I said with a small smile.

"Don't be." Louis said giving me a soft kiss. An older lady came in and told me to go ahead and lay down. I did as she said and lifted up my shirt. She put the cold gel on my stomach and started watching the computer screen pointing out the baby to us.

"Would you like to know the gender?" She asked us sweetly.

"Yes!" We both said at the same time. She smiled and looked at the screen.

"Well congratulations it looks like you're going to have a boy!" She told us. My eyes went wide, and I felt tears in my eyes. I looked at Louis and his eyes sparkled with emotion. He looked down at me and smiled pressing a soft kiss on my lips.

"I'm going to go get you guys a picture, then you can leave." The lady said. We both thanked her and she left. Louis helped me up and I quickly wrapped my arms around him.

"We're having a boy Louis!" I said as tears spilled from my eyes. Louis tightened his arms around me, and then wiped the tears off my face with his thumb.

"I love you Mia." He said kissing my lips.

"I love you too, and I'm so emotional!" I said laughing and wiping my eyes. Louis laughed and kissed my cheek.

"Our little boy." Louis said looking down. I smiled and laid my head on his chest. The nurse walked in and she handed us a picture of the ultrasound, and I thanked her.

"Congratulations once again, and you two are a beautiful couple." She said with a smile.

"Thank you!" I said as we walked out to our car.

"Are you hungry?" Louis asked me.

"No I'm ok." I said with a smile. Louis started driving and I frowned once I noticed we weren't heading home.

"Where are we going?" I asked him. He smiled at me as we pulled up to a baby store.

"Well now we know what we're shopping for." Louis said smiling. I smiled and got out of the car taking Louis hand, and dragging him inside. We went to the boy section, and I felt my face spread into a smile looking at everything.

Louis picked out a couple of outfits, and I grabbed a pair of small jeans with a matching sweater. I then got a Nike sweat suit, and we went to check out. We paid then went back to the car.

"Do you want me to order something to pick up before we head home?" Louis asked.

"Chinese?" I asked Louis. He agreed and ordered. We picked it up, then headed home. I sat down with a plate, and started watching tv. Louis sat down next to me, and we ate in silence.

"Tomorrow do you want to go shopping for things to decorate the nursery?" Louis asked.

"Sure."

"What did you want the theme to be?" Louis asked me.

"I don't know. Do you think chevrons would be cute? Like a baby blue, and white with grey?" I asked.

"Yea that would be nice." Louis said nodding.

"Do you have any ideas?" I asked Louis.

"No not really, I like the chevrons idea though." Louis said. I smiled and laid my head on Louis after setting my plate down.

"I love you Lou." I said as I let out a yawn.

"I love you too." He said kissing my cheek.
