one night whilst you're at uni studying is getting a little boring, so you remember one of your friends mentioning she's going to see some band play at a little bar tonight. So you're like why the hell not and you show up in your leather jacket and lil plaid skirt and you're feeling confident so you push your way to the front of the crowd where you find your friend. You're pressed right up to the stage and your hips start swaying and your hands are up and you're just having an awesome time. youre closer to the right side of the stage and all of the sudden the heavy drumming stops and you just hear a lil bass beat so you look up to see what's going on and you notice this tall, muscular tanned bass player in a muscle tee playing a riff. you hadn't really been paying attention to the band before but you definitely were now. you watched amazed at how fast his fingers were moving. then your eyes trailed up to his face, where you were pleasantly surprised to see a tall, tanned guy with a strong jaw and warm brown eyes. he was super concentrated on his riff but when he was finished his face broke into the cutest smile as the crowd applaud him, especially you. from then on you weren't paying attention to the other members (who were also quite attractive may i add), just the unknown basis in front of you. you thought he couldn't get any better but that wasn't until you heard him sing. his voice was indescribable and you couldn't help but been transfixed on him whilst he sung. slowly you started noticing every once in a while he'd glance at you, and you'd smile in return. then those smiles became winks and so on and so forth. eventually the curly haired drummer announced this would be their last song, so you just pouted not wanting their set to be over. their last song was a cover of what I like about you , one of your favourite songs. you decided to enjoy it instead of sulking that the bass player would be leaving so you danced your heart out. when the bass player sang the line "what i like about you, you really know how to dance",he bent down and grabbed your hand, tugging you up onto the stage. you were shocked at first but then came to the realization this would probably be the only time you'd ever get to be on a stage in front of a crowd like this with a band like this. you quickly jumped on stage and starting dancing and belting out the words, the bass player laughing at your antics. he tried to copy some of your moves but as he was playing an instrument it resulted in him just moving his head and hips. when the song finally ended, he went up to his mic and said "thank you guys, this was awesome! and thanks to our impromptu special guest..." he looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to say your name into the mic, which you did. the lead singer then says "good night everybody!" and walks off the stage which is your cue. you begin to hop off the stage, but not before the bassist grabs your arm. "y/n, you were a lot of fun tonight. you're also quite pretty... would you like to hang back and come backstage with us for a bit? i'm calum by the way." he looked at you smiling and you just couldn't say no. you nodded as you made your way back stage and you can say that definitely wasn't the last time you are front row at one of his shows.
