I swatted at the hands shaking me senseless and turned over.

"Leave me alone, Darry." I mumbled half consciously, used to being waken up early in the morning.

"No, you don't understand, Dally's gone." Johnny stuttered on every word, obviously scared. My eyes snapped open and I whipped my head around to face Johnny in the back seat of the Buck's T-Bird . I took in my surroundings, a rugged building, a ghost town of a parking lot, and the woods caving in on us, but no Dallas.

"What happened?" I gasped, eyes wide and mouth open and quivering. Hands unsteady, sweating to the bone, the sunrises' light making me sparkle ever so slightly.

"I woke up and he wasn't there, I don't know." Johnny looked ashamed to say what he said, but it's better than saying nothing at all. What confused me is we were still in the car.

Johnny opened the door and stood up, his legs wobbling as if they were jelly. I followed suit, getting out of the car and was unable to walk correctly.

"Where do you think he went?" I asked quietly, drinking in the sunset with my eyes. Johnny only shook his head and looked at the start of the woods at the end of the parking lot. I jogged over to the edge, seeing trampled branches and leaves. I glanced back at where I left Johnny to see him at the payphone Dally went to.

He leaned against the pole, still tired from the long stay at the church.

"Hey, Johnny! Let's go into the woods, we might be able to find him." Johnny just sulked over and was dreading the new 'adventure'.

"Well," Johnny sighed as he walked on the faint path, "Here goes nothing."

My head moved side to side, looking for any signs left from Dally. So far, we had found nothing until we heard a grunt from deep in the forest.
