Jason hated guard duty. Normally it was for newer recruits and those still on probation but Jason had lost a bet at dinner (usually he could chug a Nalgene full of Kool-Aid faster than Dakota, but obviously last night wasn't his night). He shouldn't have to stand out here he had been at camp for years! He was a son of the king of the gods! He shouldn't have to do pathetic guard duty! The fumes from the tunnel always made him dizzy and they hadn't had a new recruit in almost 6 months. This was the worst job possible. You know, until the giant spike impaled his left thigh. Then it got a whole lot worse.
