Jason normally found it hard to listen and pay attention let alone get engaged to what someone was saying on a normal basis. He was generally less ADHD than some of the other kids at camp but he still had to concentrate in these situations. However when the girl, Reyna, began to tell her story Jason couldn't help but not get caught on every word she said. "I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I lived with my dad and my sister in our villa. We weren't in the center of the city but  we were close enough to see a few tourists on occasion.  My dad was a soldier, he was off duty when I was born and afterwards... couldn't really get a job. My sister and I left the city on a boat headed for Miami, but we were caught in a freak storm and were blown off course. Most everyone died and we were running out of options. We couldn't contact anyone to come and help us we were in international waters by now. The Americans didn't want us and the Puerto Ricans were glad to be rid of us. So when we spotted an island just below the horizon my sister and I chose we'd take our chances and swim for it. We went aboard the island to find it wasn't abandoned as we thought there was a resort... a spa. The woman running it gave us food and clothing and shelter. She seemed to like my sister and offered her a job. She became her apprentice, and... I guess we were happy. It was like that for two years, until a couple of... guests" She seemed to stay on that word for a bit too long. Jason wondered who theses people were or if Reyna even knew? "They unleashed some prisoners we had on the island, and they wanted revenge for all the years they had spent in captivity. They first killed our mistress and then took the rest of us prisoner as and act of... Irony? Most of the girls aboard were... delicate. they didn't have the courage to stand up and fight. But my sister and I we were different. we learned to fight quickly and soon over through the pirates. I mean our captors. we took control of the ship and sailed for California. You see my mom had always told stories to my sister about a safe place. A camp for people like us. we-" Telemachus cut her off "I thought you said you grew up with your father? You knew your mother too?" she obviously didn't like to be interrupted but Jason had noticed and wondered the same thing. "Yes, I grew up with my father but I knew my mother until I was about three. My sister was eight so of course she remembers her well. " Telemachus seemed to be pandering this fact. Jason himself couldn't remember his father or mother so before his claiming he had no clue who he was. but Reyna seemed to have it all figured out. "Now as I was saying, we landed in northern Washington where my sister and I parted ways. I was to travel south and search for Lupa and she stayed in Seattle and joined the amazons. from then on I was perused by that thing we met and the tunnel." She looked ant Jason who was recalling the man with the tail and two different colored eyes. she didn't speak again and Jason found himself sad in a way that the story was over. He seemed to like hearing her talk. Telemachus however was deep in thought. Jason could never read the guy so he had no idea why but when he was ordered out he couldn't help but feel insulted. How was he going to be a witness if he wasn't aloud to witness anything? Jason didn't feel like helping with the preparations for war games so he decided to just wait outside. By no means was he trying to eavesdrop just waiting.
