The exploding statue made Reyna wish she hadn't ran as fast. She knew the camp had to be around here somewhere that's what the wolf had said. To her right was a dock with at least three small dinghies and 2 things that looked like boats but were more like drift wood. Most had gold letters on them, pax, ulgdan, SPQR. She knew it must be around here somewhere. Then when she looked left a blast of red smoke and a loud piping noise shot Reyna back. A statue had just magically burst into existence. "ID?" The statue asked quite nonchalantly. "What?" Reyna really hoped the statue would talk faster as the Manticore that pursued her was gaining fast. "Oh," he said looking at her "Are you new? Sorry but all new recruits are required to enter through the Caldecott tunnel." Reyna glanced over her shoulder when another spike flew her direction and hit the statue (she assumed it was Terminus the Roman god of boundaries) square in the forehead. "Well I don't really have time to run all the way around to the tunnel. Can't you just let me in here?" The statue thought for a moment and just met her with a sigh and a snap of his fingers(she assumed it was his fingers.. you see he didn't quite have any hands) and next thing Reyna knew she was standing in the middle of a freeway facing oncoming traffic.
